Genius, in my opinion. One of Trump’s greatest traits is thinking outside the box and coming up with common-sense solutions.

So we get a check and then pay the doctors with no middle man?

I don’t know how many hundreds of billions of dollars are available. But 900 billion results in about $3000 per person. I don’t think that will be near enough.

Great move, now people know we have an alternative and aren’t just dumping money into a plan that is destined for more failures.

It would go pretty damn far if it cuts out all the bullshite billing/administrative costs caused by insurance companies.

I would be willing to bet close to half the costs associated with running a medical practice are associated with the insurance billing and extra staff required to manage all the red tape.

There are millions of people out there like me who are in their 60s and 70s who rarely need a doctor.
Our cost will be way less than $3000 each.

So where do those hundreds of billions of dollars come from? From those who pay into Obama Care I assume? What about those who don't have enough money to pay for Obama Care? Are those people on Medicaid?

I'm not sure where all the money comes from?

So, take the ACA subsidy and give it to people instead, but restrict it to healthcare spending?

Or do you just not restrict it to healthcare spending and let people buy trucks with it? How do you spread risk?

Do you not intend to spread risk? Then how do you keep insurance solvent?

Oh, he means doing away with the concept of health insurance. Alrighty.

Your taxes - straight to the insurance companies as “subsidies”.

The problem with medicine and health insurance is that about 80 percent of the cost is at the end of life. Ift may extend life for months or a year but does not increase the quality of a persons life at that age.

We have to stop spending money to extend life a few months where it does not result in an improvement to quality of life.

There is a point where nature has to take its course.

Any plan that doesn't involve repealing EMTALA will have fundamental cracks present.
