If you use a brioche bun on your burger, your burger sucks.

Please name places that only use white bread.

I bet you like red hot dogs too. Well, here's your perfect bite.

Brioche = candy bread with all the sugar in it.
French Toast, Yes.
Burger, no.

I wouldn't say the burger automatically sucks, but it would be a better burger if not on a brioche bun. Or any other goofy arse bun. Simpler the better #teamwhitebun

Publix brioche are not sweet and hold up really well. I can roll with a white bun too as long as it’s sturdy and big enough for the meat.

The only exception for me would be the occasional onion roll.

That's why the better spots use a demi brioche bun

For burgers at home, I often go with Sara Lee Artesano Buns. Dave’s Killer Bread buns are good too.
Don’t care for sweet brioche buns. Any time I see a sandwich on a menu and it lists a brioche bun, I skip it.

Yeah those are really good. That's what we use too. I wish we had Martin's Potato bread around here.

Store brand buns get the job done. For us, that's HEB.

My newest pet peeve is more the bun size, I like to be able to taste the meat and toppings and some of these burger places just have massive buns where your bite is tons of bread.

Locally i like places that use Dong Fong buns. RIP to our Bookoo bbq owner/poster who started that trend 15 years ago

Yeah, f all those people who like food to taste good. A real burger is made on untoasted sandwich bread, with government cheese, and no spices. Bunch of queers....

I'm a no goofy bun guy (credit to whoever said that) for most things
But for a non-smash thick grilled burger, I do like the "French Hamburger Rolls" from Publix

On the flip side, the ones you can buy in the store seem to be getting smaller and smaller. At least, the "low carb" ones I buy are. I swear I eat half the burger bunless just trying to eat the parts sticking out first.
