How in the hell did they just collapse?

Same as last season against Texas A&M. It’s kind of been a recurring theme with the old regime.
It’s a new day!

They were playing pretty well. Nuss was moving the ball for the most part. Defense was holding up.
Then boom!
Then boom!

Our team crumbles under pressure and have all season. We went down 10 after the punt return and completely went away from what worked and started chasing points. See Berry only getting one second half touch.

It took a blocked punt / safety and two INTs to even be close in the first half.

Who knows. But it was the best thing that could have happened to us
If BK somehow snuck a win he might have lucked up into another year. Thank god

Wanting more than one half of semi competent football? You sound spoiled.

A&M decided to run the ball more...specifically with the QB who had thrown 2 INTs in the first half. A&M made exactly the same adjustment in the 2nd half of last year's game with exactly the same result.

That’s why they fired him before the bama game. If he would have beaten bama then it would hard to fire him.

A&M decided to stop making mistakes and focus on what was working. LSU? Quite the opposite.

Right. It was kind of like our 2019 game against Bama (i.e., things appearing closer than they actually were).
We had a hard fought first half, but some quirky things went in our favor. When the Aggies opened up the second half taking us to the woodshed, the writing was on the wall.

Vegas bookies called BK and said "Do it NOW".

Problems started on defense the first drive of the second half and then special teams broke down....and it cascaded from there. LSU was forced to become one dimensional and the passing game became short throws.

The lead was mostly fool's gold. A&M made just enough mistakes to keep LSU in the game. A&M had the bad snap that pushed them back, leading to the blocked punt/safety. LSU then immediately went 3 and out on the following possession. A&M then easily drove downfield until Haulcy made a great play in the endzone.
Those two miscues kept LSU in the game, because otherwise LSU wasn't putting up much resistance against A&M's offense. The quick back to back scores in the 2nd half put LSU in a hole its offense was never going to climb out of.

What game were you watching?
LSU pretty much looked like shot outside of one drive.
At halftime, A&M got their mistakes in check, and made offensive adjustments... and LSU did none of those things

It was fools gold. We hadn’t actually stopped a&m the whole first half they just kept shooting themselves in the foot. We just had a pic on a great play in the endzone, a tip drill pic, and a blocked punt after a botched snap put them behind the sticks. Offense was dinkin n dunkin their way down the field and it was only a matter of time before they stopped Sloans quick sideline throw bullshite. Only real bright spot was Barry. You could see it coming a mile away and the team effectively quit after the punt return.

I said when we didn't score TD's on the blocked punt and the interception that they would come back to bite us. We had the momentum and the opportunity to put pressure on them and maybe force Reed to make another mistake.

Anytime he gets behind in the second half he panics. When Temu scored on the opening drive of the 3rd quarter Kelly lost it and the gameplan went out the window. He kind of admitted to it in the post game which is sad.
