It was so egregious I wonder if he was just running the wrong play; he immediately took off downfield run blocking.

I’m sure part of it is how bent Sankey is on us hiring Wade and how our roster is shaping up. No doubt we’re being very intentional on this.

Our OL outside Seaton isn’t talented enough to just line up and handle anyone. We need to be well prepared to understand the opponent’s schemes and have a detailed game plan to exploit personnel and schematic weaknesses. I don’t think we had that against LA Tech, and I think Tech was able to confuse and disrupt a lot of what we tried in the first half as a result.

I frankly think the staff’s focus has been almost entirely on Clemson, Ole Miss and ATM for this early part of the schedule. And rightly so.

Agreed on this point, the staff as a whole worked hard.

What’s clear to me is that Kiffin is intent on sending a message about where LSU is going and how relentless his staff will be. Not sure if we’ll always promote it so publicly, but clearly Kiffin wants to at this early stage of his tenure.

It’s a completely new market for sports agents with a completely new revenue source, and one that is largely unregulated in terms of limitations on transferring, or restructuring or signing new NIL deals. The current environment sucks, but it’s not surprising, and it won’t change until guardrails are put in place around transferring and NIL deal structures.

This team really needs Miller to grow and develop, and he could still come on, but I’m growing less optimistic with every game.

Some of the bench guys like King played well against the weak part of the schedule, didn’t see it against Tech or SMU.

I thought this team looked better than recent years thus far, but this performance was, uh, highly disappointing. I hope they start knocking down shots and figuring it out, or else McMahon needs to finally be held accountable.
