I noticed the same thing. I feel bad for the dems. Today wasn’t political—it was genuine patriotism. People of all races, creeds, and religions uniting to celebrate our country. Dems could have joined us tonight like we all did after 9/11.

This is what is scaring the Democrats. In the last election, Trump completely destroyed their long time coalition. This was the coalition they were counting on to give them a permanent majority.

You are giving cnn & msdnc way too much credit. They average less combined that Fox does on a slow Tuesday morning. The problem is they don’t have a clue what’s going on because they are uninvolved on anything outside their daily routine. Sometimes someone catches their ears and they believe without investigation what is said

Probably so. I’d imagine that they don’t even care that much about Trump aside from hating him because he’s rich and their lives have turned out to be shitty. They’re probably just reliving their glory days of the summer of love one last time and it’s nostalgic for them

Saw a video of the rally in Woodstock, GA…it was surprisingly a good turnout, but it was sooooo predictable of the people attending

Good thing for them the GOPe leadership would happily break up that MAGA coalition and go back to running as a minority party given half a chance.
The only thing that created that coalition is the conservative populist approach which brought in the blue collar, Latino and now even some black males.
Without Trump or someone else representing that wing of the voting public it all goes back to where it was in 2015.
Maybe Vance can hold it together and even expand outreach with the tech bros for financial backing and the college educated suburban crowd, but I don’t think there are many others who could follow Trump and make it work as of today.
