Dinner in NOLA ends with 2 broken ankles

A friend of mine went to dinner in NOLA, and while walking to their car, they fell and ended up breaking both ankles (lower legs).
The road is under construction, and there are multiple levels (or planes) from the sidewalk down to the road.
There were no cones, tape, or warnings.
Obviously, there is pain, loss of wages, and medical bills.
Any recommendations on who to talk to in NOLA that may be best to help them.

How about an optometrist so he can watch where he's walking

I’d say your friend is SOL.

Unfortunately a lawyer and be prepared to wait to get paid. Find out what construction company is working that area and responsible.
Someone should go take pictures immediately of the lack of signage/caution.

New Orleans is a shite hole.

Your friend might as well get in line with the others still waiting on payouts from the city spanning well into the 80s.

Good luck. I have a friend who went to Tulane in the mid 80s and he tried to sue the city because he blew out all four tires in a massive pothole on Fountainebleu. He still talks about how fricked it was. Your buddy will never see a penny.

Maybe try and find the construction crew (probably Boh bros) and start there.

Probably someone at Touro. Maybe a doctor?

A waste of time...
Sorry about his ankles...
Reminds me of the LSU reciever who tore both ACLs on the same play while playing on Philadelphia's shityy field @ Vets Stadium.
Wendell Davis maybe?

He/She should talk to a therapist for treatment of his/her gender dysphoria.
