Slow Horses

Severance again to catch what you missed

For All Mankind

Severance a third time as you’ll still not catch it all.

You may not want to start off with severance because nothing else will compare

Just started Dark Matter. I’m only on Episode 2 but it’s excellent so far. It hooks you from the start. Almost the same premise as that Dark series on Netflix.

Based on reactions here, if you have read the books it seems like you’ll hate it. If you haven’t it’s a decent sci-fi show with high production value. I am not encumbered by book knowledge and have enjoyed it.

I read Foundation and enjoy the show, but they are two different stories and that may be a problem for some. It’s not a situation like The Witcher and Ring of Power where the writers thought they could tell a better story. Asimov just wrote a ridiculously difficult story to translate to screen because it isn’t character-driven and it spans centuries.

It helps that the original ideas for the show are some of the best aspects, like the way they handle the Emperor over the centuries. They also put a lot of money into the effects and it shows. Season 3 was delayed but should release around the end of the year hopefully.

You can get a free 3 month trial without any purchase at Best Buys website. I get 3 free months, cancel, wait a couple of months and do it again.

Best Buy - Free Apple+

Add it to your cart. Check out for $0.00 and Apple+ will send you an email.

Definitely worth the $0.00

I generally tell people if they like the genre then they will probably like the show on AppleTV. Most of them are solid.

Most of the usual suspects have been covered but I also suggest the movie Greyhound based on the book The Good Shepherd by C. S. Forester. Tom Hanks plays the captain of a US Destroyer escorting merchant ships to the UK with emphasis on their time in the mid-Atlantic gap where there is no air cover to fend off the U-boats.

Severance, Season 1. Season 2 finished filming in late April and should come out at some point later this year

Ted Lasso, all 3 seasons.

I’m a sucker for travel shows, The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy is solid if you like that kind of thing.

Also, For All Mankind, and Masters of the Air.
