re: People in California pouring Almond Milk on fires

I don’t understand this thinking. Replacing the piping is cheaper than rebuilding thousands of homes and businesses. Even then there are steps that can be taken to mitigate corrosion. With all the tax revenue California pulls in they could easily retrofit the infrastructure to handle seawater or just pickle and passivate the systems after emergency use of seawater. One of the main services my work provides is pickling and passivating steel systems in plants all over the country.

He recently had a baby with this model from Lafayette that graduated from Lafayette High. She was a track athlete if I’m not mistaken.

Just started Dark Matter. I’m only on Episode 2 but it’s excellent so far. It hooks you from the start. Almost the same premise as that Dark series on Netflix.

I’m starting to look into getting a little more exposure to Bitcoin. Is there any benefit to owning a Bitcoin ETF rather than Bitcoin itself? Will the ETF directly reflect Bitcoin prices? E.g. If $10,000 were invested into both Bitcoin and Bitcoin ETF, would the gains/losses be identical?

I’ve never really subscribed to the NFL being scripted. Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence. But then I think there’s no way they’re this incompetent and wrong as often as they are.
Has officiating in the NFL gotten worse?
Posted by TheRallyPossum on 12/3/23 at 10:35 pm
This last drive in the Chiefs-Packers game, the refs clearly missed 3 calls and none were particularly close at all. First was a hit on Mahomes in bounds which they threw the flag on the packers for a late hit, next was a clear pass interference against MVS that wasn’t called, then forward progress was stopped as the chiefs receiver was trying to go out of bounds yet they stopped the clock. Thats not even mentioning the pass interference on the Hail Mary that’s never called. Every play on that drive had a bad call. I don’t recall officiating ever being this bad.
Aerosinusitis cure?
Posted by TheRallyPossum on 8/11/23 at 12:57 am
I just had maybe the most debilitating, excruciating pain I’ve ever felt in my life during a descent in a plane. I’ve flown before but have never felt anything quite like this. It felt like my skull was about to rip open above my left eye. I woke up with a slight sinus headache this morning so I had some sinus pressure before the flight. Any tips or cures for this? I don’t know how I’ll manage on the return flight home.

Ehh I really don’t know enough about tennis lol I don’t know who the hell I’m betting on 95% of the time. I just find a match where the player receiving the serve is between +125-+150, anything higher it’s usually a very lopsided match and anything around +100-+110 isn’t worth the grind. So far I’ve made out like a bandit.

My best guess would be they have an algorithm that is constantly moving the line. I’ll miss consecutive points sometimes by not paying enough attention or a lag on the site. Even if you’re only able to get a bet on every other point the strategy still works. Move at your own pace. If you’re waiting for the Sportsbook to tell you, that you won or loss on a placed bet it’ll take too long to bet the next point. I watch the live scoreboard. It’s fairly easy on DraftKings.

Absolutely certain. DraftKings live betting may be a second or two behind.

Betting each point live. For instance, Game 1 Point 1 (Player 1 -125) (Player 2 +140). Bet player 2 $1.
If I lose I bet on Game 1 Point 2 $2 and so forth.

$1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $32, $64, $128, $256, $512. $1023 in total. I’ve hit quite a few $512 bets, talk about a nervous wreck waiting for the sites to update. Sometimes I’ll just eat the loss but still stay profitable. Those $2, $4, $8 bets hitting add up quickly. It’s been a net positive for me but I can see where it can turn on you quickly. Like I said it can be a grind but hitting those $2 + bets nets you $2-$2.50 every 1-2 minutes it adds up quick.

I use DraftKings and it’s live betting. I don’t care who’s playing, it doesn’t matter if it’s singles, doubles, men’s or women’s. Idk who I’m betting on 98% of the time.

I use the Martingale strategy on Tennis. I bet the underdog each point. I start with a $1 bet and every subsequent bet I lose I double my bet I.e $1, $2,$4, $8 etc… It’s a grind but I can average $100-$250/hr. I’ve been lucky as I haven’t busted yet. You’re basically betting that you won’t lose 10 points in a row. Basically the player receiving the serve is the underdog. You need a good bankroll. I’ve made almost $5000 in the last couple of months doing this.

Every AA I asked knew about it in some form or the other. Now only a handful actually believed it.

I’ve asked maybe 8-10 completely unrelated people and they all confirmed this. They will not eat red sauce that is cooked by a woman not in their family.
Old Wives’ Tale about foods with red sauce
Posted by TheRallyPossum on 7/12/23 at 9:57 pm
I recently heard the most outlandish wives’ tale about foods with red sauce (I.e. Spaghetti, Sauce Piquante). Supposedly women will put menstrual blood in the food when cooking to “trap” the man as some form of voodoo.
An African American coworker recently explained this to me. I thought he was nuts so I’ve asked many others about this and apparently it is a thing many in South Lousiana are taught at a young age. Anyone else heard of this and if so do you believe it?

I think diet has a big part to play. A lot of the chemicals and processed food we eat affects a lot more than just body composition. That along with our reliance on technology is the major differences between generations.
