Britney Spears needs conservatorship for own safety, sources say: "This is what we feared"

The "Free Britney" movement will never do any kind of introspection on themselves as she continues to spiral more and more out of control. After she is dead here in the next few years, they will undoubtedly blame Hollywood and the entertainment industry for her premature demise. And while that will be true, what also will be true is that they took away the final safeguard that was keeping her alive, all because they believed she deserved freedom without realizing just how sick in the head she really was.
Mob rule is dangerous to society.

Britney Spears should have been kept in a conservatorship amid fears for her mental health, multiple sources tell Page Six.
Although the original arrangement, put in place with the aid of her father, Jamie Spears, was indisputably harsh, the pop princess suffers from very real mental health issues that require a lot of help, people who have been around her tell us.
Those who have known her tell Page Six they fear that she has turned to drink and drugs.
The “…Baby One More Time” singer, 42, was pictured looking distraught outside the infamous Hollywood haunt the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday night — hours after her divorce from her third husband Sam Asghari was finalized.
They were married for just a year.

Is this really a great example of this supposed axiom?

She’s an adult and has every right to frick her life up if she wants. I’ve watched enough intervention to know that.

It sounds like you should be blaming the judge who ended the conservatorship for letting "mob rule" trump law. Or, did he/she?

You are free to wreck your own life. I do wonder what happened to her and how things got this way. I feel bad for her, but I don't like stripping away freedom from people.

Obviously she’s nuts
But this makes me think about everything negative people say about cps and the foster care system… wtf are “we” supposed to do?

Free Brittany = Disaster
Free Palestine = Disaster
Free College = Disaster
Free Love = Disaster
Free can be a detrimental word if used by stupid stupid people

She just needs the love and protection of a good Louisiana baw in the 70809. I'll take her. For a weekend.

I don’t fall into either camp on that, but she’s a grown woman who can do whatever she wants with her money. Sure, her parents controlling her finances was likely the best option for her well being, but at the end of the day it’s her money and not theirs.

Even if she isn't full crazy, after decades of being of mind altering drugs her brain is no longer able to function without them. It literally would takes years to ween her off properly and she probably has gone cold turkey.
When all this free Britt stuff started someone posted her meds list. She was taking enough stuff to tranq a horse, her brain is fried from years of that alone.

I think everything goes back to the belief that the father should NOT have been the conservator but, instead, a professional should have the job.
Daddy doing it came off as him controlling her and helping himself to her money.

Millions of people frick up their life but spears needs protection from herself for some reason???? She is 40 something years old if she wants to destroy her life it’s her choice.

Britney just hasn’t found the right man to show her the ups and downs and ins and outs of the world.

Her dad’s name is Jamie Spears? Does that make Britney’s little sister a junior? Not even joking.

She's mentally ill, she needs help

We covered this extensively in another thread: LINK
I’ll repeat what I said then: I have yet to see a single bit of evidence that she is a danger to herself or others such that she’s a candidate for involuntary commitment. And no, her being at risk of going from rich to broke doesn’t count.
