I watched most of todays game by myself, but I could still hear the collective groan from the LSU fanbase when Neal pinched hit for Milazzo.

I love posters on a message board critiquing a national championship coach less than a year from winning the natty.

Great stuff.

Have you seen his face the day after a series or mid-week game loss?? Looks like he hasn't slept for days. Too many unproven guys on the team and some who played a decent amount last season have underperformed again. He likes specific in-game match ups which this season has shite the bed due to lack of production of whomever he puts in the game at whatever point.

But man, up 1 game to nothing with Holman starting. In the past the situation would be in the bank. I know Holman ain’t Skenes but with Mizzou’s putrid offense I thought this was gonna be our game

This was the most frustrating thing about today's game - we really needed Holman to bring the pain and it didn't happen. 7 runs were the most we've scored in a loss this year. With him on the mound we should've won the game.

Yep. Very first pitch he threw hits the leadoff guy. Sign of things to come unfortuantely.

Yes, I think Kling should always start and work thru his batting struggles. How much of a luxury was it last year to have both of the best players in the country. We could use us some Crews and Skenes right about now

I was so pissed after the 17-12 loss to USC in 79, that after we marched back to the Band Room, I sat out in the Greek Theater listening to the post game shows on the radio while drinking Orange Juice and Water until 2, 3 or 4AMish.(I used to drink a lot of OJ) I didn't even put my Bass Drum up. Another one of the BD'ers came out, retrieved my Drum and brought my OJ from the ice chest that the Drumline kept in the BR for after the game. Semjase was upset and wasn't going anywhere for awhile......... .

I don’t understand how you can’t comprehend everyone appreciates Johnson’s reputation in the baseball community and his relentless work ethic, even if we aren’t going to rite the ship this season.

It just says he will fix it one way or another, and if this season is a bust he’s going to overhaul this roster and potentially hire a new assistant or two.

His first season at Arizona he took them to the CWS championship series. Then the program got progressively worse after that: Lost in regionals, no NCAA tournament, no NCAA tournament. 2020 wasn’t looking great before the season was cancelled. Then, in 2021, he went back to the CWS.

I’m not saying the guy is a bad HC or that this season won’t be the anomaly. But you do have to acknowledge there is a history (albeit brief) of a high peak followed by a very quick drop off.

What would you prefer as a fan?

Inconsistent peaks and valleys where the highs are very high (National Championships) and the lows are low (multiple seasons of no SEC or NCAA tournament appearances); or

Consistent winning every season, including consistent CWS appearances, but no championships

Gotta go highs and lows in that situation. It doesn’t do us a damn bit of good to never win a title but always get close.

I agree. It's time for JJ to just kick back, and pray for a well-timed opossum.

When did I say that no one appreciates his work ethic? But saying “he is the hardest working coach in the game” about any coach is dumb. There are tons of coaches across all sports and levels that are extremely hard workers.
