Given the prey is typically livestock or game animals, am I supposed to be suprised some rural guy doesn't view a wolf as a cuddly puppy like the OP?
The fact that you are able to shoot on-sight at any time without a permit in this area should give some insight into how they view wolves in that area.

That had nothing to do with parading it around in a bar after it's been injured.
I'll kill a copperhead with whatever I've got handy and I'll shoot a coyote (sorry LSUCoyote), legal or not, b/c they're a damn menace, but I'm not gonna drag 'em to bar all night.

Having said that, the wolf seems rather unharmed beyond having his muzzle taped.
He ran it to exhaustion with a snowmobile then ran it over. I'm guessing he broke it's back and that's why he was able to tape it up. He could have just killed it quickly then. Instead, he drove it around town and showed it off at a bar. Not really unharmed. He intentionally prolonged it's suffering instead of killing it humanely.
Seems like you'd be more against this sort of thing. IRRC I've seen you be against cruelty to animals on the OB quite a few times.

Nah, frick that guy.
He gives off John Wesley from Roadhouse vibes.

I know a wolf would kill me and eat me if he could, but he's an animal.
I'm not.
But you are. Even if you fail to realize it.
You aren't much farther than a handful of missed meals away from that wolf. Or that hunter.
It's a whole different country up there. Dude might have been watching his herd or his pets get decimated by wolves. To you, it might look fricked up. To him it might be parading the town menace through the streets before his execution.
It's not the way I'd do things, but it's far from uncommon and tales have been told across the centuries about similar situations.
I doubt this guy is some pure evil entity. Just hates wolves and lives in a world where this thing isn't too far outside the norm, but for some dude with no sense of perspective looking in from the far outside, it looks absolutely barbaric.
The fact that the local authorities only gave him a fine tells me I'm probably not far off on that.
Now maybe Geek can get mad at the little girls being raped by roaming packs of migrants in Europe.

Hopefully a slow death awaits him.

I feel concerned for you after this melt.

Is the guy a piece of shite? Obviously. Should he face legal consequences for animal cruelty? Absolutely.
But while we’re on the subject of POS, I think people who try to expose people’s personal information in an effort to totally destroy their life are a bigger POS than this guy.

I am. And One of my previous hunters learned what my rather meaty fist to the face feels like because of it.
Having said that, if the thing eas just exhausted and had its muzzle taped, my GAF meter isnt registering. Broken back and squealing in pain, yeah, I don't support it, and he should have killed it immediately.
But I'm equally unwilling to transmute the human emotion of embarassment to a predator who was run to exhaustion and subdued. Hell, we used to catch alligators, tape the mouths up, and then let them loose in the shop while we did everything else to get ready to deal with it.

Yep. And his pos wife and friends cheer him on. He must really feel bad about himself to need to do this. Karma will get him one day, hopefully.

Just admit it - you’re defending him because he’s fat, redneck, and stupid like 70% of the people you encounter in Denham or wherever you live.

Agree, I do get hungry.
Or that hunter. No, I get angry, and I get ice-cold, but I'm not a candyass that would torture an animal. People that do that have issues, as has been proven.

He's up there with the dudes who shoot hogs, coyotes, and deer in the guts on purpose.
Agree it’s shitty to shoot them where they suffer but as far as hogs and coyotes go I have no issue killing as many as possible. They’re a pain in the arse

Where did you see in the story that his wife and friends were cheering him on?

yeah he's a major piece of shite. If you're going to kill something then kill it quick.
Agree. Severe mental issues to be able to do some shite like that and think its (1) something to do and (2) funny. When you dispatch an animal you owe it to that animal to do it quickly.

Are animals allergic to bacon grease?

They eat the sponge, dinkus.

I mean I'll fully admit I'm ignorant on the situation, but they are hoping the sponge doesn't pass through the digestive system? Just a weird way of killing an animal, and I have never heard or even thought about.
