Definitely book a table in the piano room at the cannon club in old san juan if you want to give your wife a fun experience.

Also look into hopping over to isla vieques.

Sound like she gives you many gifts everyday. Love and fidelity and all that springs from that.

Any good places I should visit?

Went in 2022 and the El Yunque National Forest and Vieques were the highlights of our trip. We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar when on the main island, which was a really nice hotel. Old San Juan was fun, but we made the mistake of going during the day and I sweat my arse off.

El Yunque rain forest. Luquillo Beach. Vieques and Culebra are real close and worthwhile excursions.

Lived in Ponce for two years. Most memorable was the local over water restaurants the west side at sunset. Food trucks had the best in world roast pork. Caja Muerto is a great place to snorkel , particularly the southeast corner inside the barrier reef.

The down side is theft. Even my garbage cans were stolen.

When driving, DO NOT look at other drivers in the eye. It's a sign of weakness and you will be cut off at every encounter.

Socially, all PR parties do not start until 1 1/2 hours after party announced start time. Classical PR music is acoustic, new age is monster speakers.

La Ramblia bakery had the best French bread in the world

Medallia beer is choice. Great with a cuban sandwich

After dark, staying stopped at a stop lite is optional, crusing through constrains the car jackers. Keep your car doors locked

Don Q Rum, My sons running buddy was Pedro, son of Don Q distillery owner. As high school seniors they had some escapades. Their best time late night from San Juan to Ponce over the mountain they claimed was 25 minutes, passing through the toll booths at 65 mph.

The two big forts in San Juan are seriously impressive. The gateway to the new world.

The food is pretty typical Caribbean. There is also the bar that claims ownership of the pina colada in old San Juan. The old town is really cool just to stroll around, see Ponce De Leon’s house etc.

Don't expect good/prompt service. Most folks seemed to think doing their job was optional and you were lucky they helped you at all.

It looked like a 2nd-World place with 1st-World/American infrastructure.
