I’ve been looking at the same thing. Seems like a great place and cheap.
It really is, but a staple for the ills of socialism, especially in large urban centers.
I traveled from Ushuaia in the South to Iguazu in the North to Mendoza/Santa Fe in the West to all parts of the Central and coast from Mar De Plata to Punta Valdez (highly recommend) and across the plains. Bariloche and Calefate are Can't misses.
It's a beautiful land. And, if you aren't trying to buy manufactured goods, it's literally cheap as shite. I recommend finding a local guide or travel agent. They generally want to be paid in USD, but are licensed by the state and get the best deals (even with their inherent hidden addons... Don't tip... They already did it in kind).

This is the only problem with representative democracy. Politicians only think and plan for the next election, not for the long-term viability of their country or state.

Imagine where the US would be fiscally if the elected crooks in DC truly performed the will of the US citizenry and drafted legislation for a balanced budget amendment......which many Americans have been calling for since the 80's.

So long as Milei keeps the military paid and somewhat operational, he has a chance. His greatest challenge long term is the fact that he has a poverty rate of 40% right now thanks to Peronist policies. The Kirchners should be in prison for the shite they did down there.

On the contrary, he has to go lightening speed so that the good, that comes with smaller government, shows up before the next election. If he goes slow people will only see pain with no gain. Get the suffering over fast.

I've long said I could balance the U.S. budget in a day. People act like it's some difficult thing.
Anyone can balance it in a day by cutting the things he disapproves of. The problem is getting a consensus on things to cut.

I'm so terribly jelly.
When is the last time you voted outside of the red/blue uniparty? Insanity is doing the same thing, expecting different results.
It took utter desperation for Argentina to think outside the box and it took under 2 months to get a budget surplus.
