Apparently Tupelo has a zoo? Interesting. Curious if anyone’s been there

Yeah, and you can pick up hookers on Lamar Avenue going back and forth from Tupelo. They're always there close to the truck stops.
Whatchu know about Shelby Drive and Lamar?

If its good enough for Jack Cristil, it's good enough for anybody.

I’ve heard Saltillo is nicer than Tupelo.

I used to drive a truck, had to spend way too much time there.
When it was possible, I would do my waiting at Olive Branch, but I couldn't always do that.

Oh yeah.
When I worked at the major air freight company based in Memphis, I spent more than enough time in that part of town.

I go to Tupelo for work and it has everything you need. Tupelo is not a bad place to settle in North Miss. Tupelo High is the largest high school in Mississippi

More specifically Tupelo. On paper it seems like a decent place to be. Just curious if anyone here has any insight.
Beautiful place that offers easy access to Baton Rouge nightlife.

List some. I’m familiar with Ocean Springs. Love that town.
These were mentioned: Saltillo, Madison, Oxford, hernando, Natchez
I'd add: Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Biloxi, Pascagoula, Tunica (if you like casinos)

I forget that's not Tupelo. It's kind of like Carencro is to Lafayette I reckon. I was mainly thinking of Plantersville, Ballardsville, Moorville areas when I said that. I don't go to the north side of Tupelo often.

New Albany is not far. It’s a great lil town.

I knew pair of brothers from Corinth years ago who were good people...introduced me to slugburgers and Tonk...both very enjoyable...

So basically just the entire Coast?

How’s the weather? Surely it’s a little different than South LA or SETX. I’d imagine it’s slightly less humid and you get a little more spring and fall seasons. More prone to tornadoes.

I live 40 minutes South of Tupelo. Weather is still hot and humid in the summer. It does get a few tornadoes. I like Tupelo. Right now it is cold and icy.

That’s one of the main draws. Want access to solid white tail hunting but not live in BFE. A medium sized town with a few things other than a dollar general is ideal. Tupelo seems to check the boxes on paper.
tupelo is a nice little city. they've got about everything any other small city has as far as shopping goes. yeah there's not a ton to do, but outside of bars, etc., most places don't. I mean, how many times can you go to a museum or zoo before you find yourself knocking around another outlet mall to take up time?
cost of living is good, and it's close to starkville and oxford for sec games. Also, for some reason, tupelo has alot of really good restaurants- some being superb.
In rural America you've got to find things to do, which usually involves the outdoors; which is why having acreage is so much better regarding quality of life when country living. public land being nearby is great too, and tupelo offers a nice little mix where you can afford land, have public land and water nearby, but not have to drive an hour for some shopping.
