IU on average is older than the Green Bay Packers right now. They will continue to be a threat. They also have had major coaching staff continuity with Cignetti so that helps as well. Identity, develop, and build an actual culture that's healthy and process driven just like Cignetti. Mendoza is just icing on the cake.

I don't think any lsu fan actually thought Lacy or Chambliss would go to LSU plus it's only day 4 of the portal. If LSU misses on Leavitt then I would agree that's a bad look

I don't give a damn about the SEC reputation. It's obvious the SEC is not above all the other conferences bc of the new age of college football. When are people going to learn that agents run college football now. These kids see the amount of money the coaches and the school are dishing out to players and many like the OL at LSU are doing as advised and hitting the portal to hopefully renegotiate a new deal whether they were good this year or not. The wild Wild West will not last forever so why not jump into the portal and find out how valued you are. Either we see the value in you or not and pay you. If my kid was a major college football player I would have him hit the portal every year to strike a new deal. It is what it is at this time. I am sure some kids were als told to take a hike. There is no way in hell all 6 OL that have entered the portal leave LSU. No way!!!
Loser post. Frank needs to go. When Lane was hired I hoped we would get Ole Miss RB coach and we did. LSU got the better end of the deal.

I am in the Lane train but I just see maybe a 9-3 season next year even if we do well in the portal. Year 2 maybe we can start becoming a relevant program again.

That's the problem with South Carolina. I listened to one of their podcasts when discussing LSU getting their DL coach and their concern Stewart may go to LSU. They made it very clear South Carolina is not all in on paying top dollar for an entire roster as well as total caches salaries. They made it very clear that South Carolina will pay big for 2 guys (Sellers and Stewart) to create the illusion that they want to win. The overall amount of money spent is not at a level that will compete for championships.

Both defenses are really good. Ags have more proven offensive difference makers and Reed's legs will likely be the difference in the game
Most LSU fans know Wilson is a great recruiter and a great guy but the development of Rab's under his watch has been very underwhelming. I wish him well but any LSU fan who pays attention to college football knows Kevin Smith is a great recruiter and most importantly a great developer at the RB position. Those upset Frank is gone it's bc of his relationships in Nola.
You do realize Archie and Olivia are from Mississippi. Why would they ever like LSU. Who cares if they hate Lane.

Cignetti had proven that's it's not all about talent composite from an ON3 rankings site but rather excellence scouting to fit scheme and a damn good coach who much like Saban hunts out any player that lets their guard down and becomes complacent. Cignetti and Kirby are in a tier of their own. They are both psycho in good way and the players respect them both. I realize we can laugh at IU's schedule but the eye test doesn't fail me. They are legit and better than any team in the field. I am not saying they will win it all but it wouldn't surprise me
