First, we need to know was it your fault, or the deer's?

You have to contact the state police first and have them write up a report. Then you bring that to WLF and they'll cut you a check.

I laughed hard enough that one of my dogs ran up to me to see what was going.

Umm, not really, you ran across a median, crossed the other two lanes, then crossed the ditch on the other side, then barely clipped him before you landed in the cane field.

Was it a Louisiana deer? Because odds are it doesn’t carry auto insurance.

I hit one at 2 in the morning and said frick it, I’m continuing home, I’ll call the insurance claims in the morning. They were like, no big deal. Had a deer run into the same car one week later before going to the body shop and they still didn’t even care. MDWFP would’ve laughed at me if I’d have called them, tho. They might revoke your hunting license permanently for asking that shite

What a dick. Probably didn't even brake or attempt to avoid the deer

That's good news for you. The deer's insurance will have to cover this since he was on the highway. If you would have hit him on the sidewalk, that would have been on you.

Sure man. And if you get robbed in New Orleans they'll track down the criminals and get your stuff back.

Sadly, I laughed way too hard at this.

Saw a dead deer on Airline Hwy in Prarieville yesterday. Was that your handy work?

If a deer hits me in MS, or North LA for that matter, I’m calling 911 and having it field tested for CWD.

If it comes back positive, the vehicle is probably totaled (aka time to make one call, that’s all -504/get Gordon, get it done-225)

This might be one of the most epic fails of a post in Tiger Droppings history. I think he truly thought there was a chance he would get his damages paid for by a government entity & decided to put it in writing to get our thoughts.

911? That’s a bit dramatic. Did you get injured when you hit it?

I don't think so. In my state Hunters for the Hungry will pick up the deer if it is salvageable. The meat goes to programs that feed hungry people. A local church offers a free meal on Wednesday night for needy children and they have received meat several times.
