Specific to movie and show reaction vids, I'm currently subscribed to 5 YT channels. Reactions differ from reviews for clarification.

And btw, the reaction channels tend to lean heavily towards attractive, younger females. Shocker, right?

In no particular order:

FunnyLilGalreacts
The Mirandalorian
Natalie Gold
SoFieReacts
Addie Counts

And while there's no shortage of eye candy out there, I'll more likely watch if it's a show or movie I'm interested in and know really well. Say like Die Hard, or a series such as Firefly.

On occasion a reactor will admit they saw a movie, but were young or didn't know what was going on, so it didn't really register with them at the time. At least they're trying to be authentic. I do wonder how many of these channels aren't just grifting because damn, so many popular movies seem to be never watched.

The first reaction videos I recall seeing were people watching Two Girls One Cup.

I have seen her videos (she also has a movie reaction channel fwiw)- and yes she is very attractive.. BUT every time i think ‘Wow this girl is hot’- up pops another reaction video with a girl who is also very very attractive.. as someone above mentioned, it isnt a very complicated formula that leads to millions of subscribers for these chicks…. A couple others ive seen off the top of my head are ‘Magic Magy’ and ‘Dasha Reacts’.. and as you mentioend , i do enjoy reactions of people who’ve never seen this stuff.. but more so, i think it’s a fun way to watch a movie i know well (Pulp Fiction, Rain Man)- without having to sit thru the whole movie, since they usually just show the highlights .

I stumbled across a dude called No Life Shaq and watched him react to some things. He was pretty funny. Then I found the Cartier Family and have stuck with them for a while. It’s a group of college black dudes at ULL. They’re pretty fun but man they do talk an awful lot sometimes. They also stopped reacting to just music and now do political shite that I have very little interest in (though as a group they are fairly conservative). So I haven’t watched them in a while.

And like someone mentioned earlier, a lot of the reaction videos are fake/not truly first time reactions. But some are still fun if you can weed through the bullshite.

I watched a few a while back. They were interpreting lyrics of songs to the t first time hearing them when “they never heard this band before”. The darkness got to be too much

Wasn’t there some controversy a few years ago where a couple of content creators tried to trademark “reaction” videos and it caused all these issues with YouTube allowing them to flag any reaction videos not by them?

I might be remembering it incorrectly- but I seem to recall that debacle putting a huge dent in the number of reaction videos being produced.

I like what the Drumeo channel does where they have drummers listen to songs they’ve never heard or that they are unfamiliar with then have them play their version of drums on it. The Chad Smith one that was posted here was awesome.

The Chad Smith one is the only one I’ve ever seen of that, and it’s because it was posted here.

But it was fricking badass.

Have you ever seen a reactor NOT “love” a single video/song?

Yes, the guys in Lost In Vegas(who are the best reactors of songs) won’t hesitate to crap on a song they don’t like.

Pink Metal hears Time from Pink Floyd

this is the best one I have seen
it is from five years ago and it seems pretty genuine. you can see the point where it goes from a routine reaction video to the words hitting her and the wave of emotion rolls over her. the song ends with tears on her face and then she has a cut before she gives her commentary. no doubt she cut to compose herself

my favorite of the drumeo clips, jazz drummer plays Nirvana
