I watched a YouTube video today about each State's "signature" food, and Arkansas was biscuits with chocolate gravy. Now I have never in my life heard of chocolate gravy, so is this just like biscuits with chocolate syrup poured on it? I need an Arkansas expert to school me on this.

North Arkansas is great. The southern part of the state and the delta suck.

Definitely not just chocolate syrup, it's flour based with real cocoa, milk, and butter mixed in.

Imagine a semi-sweet cocoa based thick gravy poured over some good biscuits that have been split in two and have pads of butter melted in the middle, then a slight dash of salt on top.

It's one of the best salty/sweet combos out there, although I had no idea it's our "signature food" in Arkansas

What say the OT? I recently went hiking around Buffalo River and I’m wondering if everyone will catch on, soon.

Yes it’s incredible. And yes one day the locust will head that direction and do what they did to Colorado to it. Florida you’re up to bat, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming you’re on deck, Ark you’re in the hole.

I’ve been thinking about exploring places where I may want to retire or have a primary residence and Arkansas is very intriguing.. stayed there a few times and love the different areas offering different activities

West of I-30 67/167 is the best part of Arkansas. Anything southeast of that line is depressing.

I like living in Northwest Arkansas but starting to get tired of the LGBT shite here.

Lake Hamilton is a filthy cesspool. Don’t ever ever ever visit or move there.

Hot Springs is one of my favorite places. I’d consider moving to Arkansas

Yes. There is a lot of beautiful nature in Arkansas and once they get to know you, really down to earth folks. We spend 3-4 weeks a year in Mountain View and do some pickin and grinnin in "The Square".

Our kid goes to school in Batesville. It’s a really nice area. Coming from Atlanta, it’s a bit odd to go to a fast food place and find good service. The only problem is the town shuts down at like 10pm. I would love to move over there except it gets a lot colder.
