I know it closed down in Springdale but I have heard they opened back up again.

Mountain View area is nice as well. Sylamore on the White River is one of my favorite places to chill.

Grab a cabin and enjoy!

Exactly my take.

Then you are both fools. The people everywhere are nice on average. It is the beholder who affects the perception as this old allegory shows:

A traveller stopped outside of a town and asked a man, “What are the people like in this town?” The man asked, “What were the people like in your town?” “Mean and untrustworthy” he responded. “You will find them the same in this town” the man said.

A second traveller stopped and asked the man, “What are the people like in this town?” The man asked, “What were the people like in your town?” “Kind and generous” he responded. “You will find them the same in this town” the man said.

Our kid goes to school in Batesville. It’s a really nice area. Coming from Atlanta, it’s a bit odd to go to a fast food place and find good service. The only problem is the town shuts down at like 10pm. I would love to move over there except it gets a lot colder.

We may know each other

I lived in North Central Arkansas for a year. It was peaceful and glorious. The people were beyond interesting. Super friendly. I truly do miss it. I will be back someday.

No way they capture the magic. Even the drive up from campus was sparce. I only ordered the catfish which was sublime. Would nibble COTC from other leftovers. Loved that place. It was Arkansas to this Texan.

Northern Arkansas is awesome. I went up there with low expectations on vacation two years ago and it was a good time

I don't think I'd ever move (or not move) somewhere because of the food. Most places in Arkansas probably have a decent burger, steak, Mexican and Italian place. We can cook at home otherwise.

East Oklahoma is nice too.
Did a vacation to Broken Bow Lake in October. Stayed at a VRBO near the lake with a great view. Hochatown was pretty cool also.

We spent a few days in Arkansas earlier this year. The Hot Springs area was very nice.

This isn’t about Arkansas in particular, but it’s kind of funny how this board will shite all over Louisiana (for good reason) and completely ignore the similarities between it and a Mississippi, Arkansas, etc

I’ll start so you have 4 seasons? Mountains ? I’ll stop there

Arkansas does not have 3 seasons and its "mountains" are contained to one corner of the state

You know how living in Texas has it's hit and misses? That's Arkansas food. You figure out what is good and where.

You know what my favorite part of Arkansas is? Old 71 from Alma to Fayetteville. Over the Boston Mountains. I never take the new route. My squid graduated last May and she admitted she only came back to Dallas once via 40. Old 71 is magical.

I mean, you just described Caddo to Toledo Bend to BSL. Arkansans can stir a roux when needed.
