a) you have a cubicle in a cube farm with a pretty easy and monotonous job but you have to pretend to stay busy as you're in a cubicle and there are people walking behind you all day. salary is 100k.
b) you have a nice, truly private office (none of that see through door and walls bullshite) with a door. job isn't especially demanding but definitely requires a bit more than job a. salary is 85k.
no WFH. M-F at the office if you're not using PTO.

No WFH? Not feasible in today’s world.
The future of work is anywhere and everywhere.
Driven by results rather than time spent at a desk.

Do I have to interact with someone passing by?
Bc give me some ear buds and I will enjoy that extra 15k with barely any work. I can make a mental door.

Take the money. I miss my office, but I got a cube in the corner that it's hard for people to truly bother me at.

Privacy from Susan talking about the latest Blue Bloods episode doesn't pay the bills. Take the money.

Work in the cubicle and spend the extra $15K on hookers and blow so you don’t have to jerk it at work.

I'm taking option B
Not being bothered by other people is worth the 15k to me.

Private office.
Money is good but I hate loud non-private environments. I’d be more willing to stick with the job for longer under better working conditions.

More money AND less work? I'll take A all day.

Is that all you have to say to me, internet tough guy?

Normally I'd take the office, but OP scenario of more money and less work, makes it interesting. That said, trying to pretend to be busy all day can grind on you - I've been in a job like that and they were clock watchers too. So, I'm taking more money and looking for a better job.

i have a private office. its nice having the option to shut the door for some privacy but i rarely do. if you have your own office your probably important enough that someone needs to be talking to you frequently.
