I'm 48, so I guess that's old enough to field this question. Not much has changed except when I get hurt, I stay hurt for weeks or months instead of days or weeks. I miss healing.

Get into and stay in as good of shape as possible. We all age, this may help you do so more gracefully and avoid some diseases that plague older adults.

You’re getting some great responses.
Some traits of successful, happy people that I’ve noticed over the years: they are humble, they work hard, and their focus is not on themselves.

Time with extended family no longer with us and the energy and stamina to do whatever you want whenever you want.

ETA: for as long as you want.

Poon. And happiness.

But mostly poon.

The almost unlimited energy to do what I wanted, whenever I wanted with damn near no negative consequences.

You know, the proverbial "burning the candle at both ends" and still functioning at a high level.

A knee that works. I’m 56 and will be getting it replaced soon. Doc keeps saying I’m too young. I’m a frickin cripple right now.

I’m 47 and have lived a great life so far. Am married with kids and love where I’m at in life right now spiritually, emotionally and financially.

But, if there was one thing I wished I did more when I was younger was worry less about chasing tail and travel more. I did a study abroad semester in Paris my senior year at LSU, but, wished I would have taken advantage of worry free travel (no wife no kids) when I was in college more.

Get out there and see the world when you’re young. It will give you a better mindset later.

Not having to take 6 different medications in the morning. Making life plans instead of estate plans.

There was a freedom that came from having a lack of responsibilities. Time moved slower then. I miss that.
