Funny thing is my agent is a black guy named Jake.

Probably the only black Jake IRL.

I have USAA and mine went up $15 per month. It’s just laughable at this point.

Sadly, Louisianans are easily susceptible to cheesy advertisements by injury attorneys.

Its amazing how few people understand the amount of harm those ambulance chasers have done to this state

Definitely a target audience and Louisiana is flush with those types of people. Poor and stupid with every incentive in the world to file a lawsuit.

Met a state farm guy not long ago through a mutual friend. He was shocked when I told him what I pay for home insurance and that he was calling me that week to offer me a better deal.

Called and got all the information on the home.

Never called back

Do you really think the cost of repairs and replacement vehicles is anywhere close to the amount of money paid for bodily injury?

I believe a lot of it has to do with the amount of uninsured motorist out on the road... I might just have to join that bunch.

I get it from a business perspective. If they don't spend some of that money, they'll have to pay it in taxes...so just buy more billboards instead. It isn't the billboards fault people keep suing each other. That's like saying it's the utensils that make everyone fat.

I'm with Geico and renew every 6 months. Back in May, my premium increased by 20% and I expected the November renewal to have another substantial increase. But the November renewal only increased by $17 for the next 6 month contract.

I had GEICO and the premium went up without explanation. I switched to progressive and got more coverage at the same rate.

This is the winner…the price of cars, in particular pre-owned cars spiked and since insurance relies on previous loss ratios to make adjustments, sometimes they are a little behind and then folks don’t correlate why it goes up. In this care it’s purely the law of large numbers and the increase in costs of inflation on everything related to cars has to be accounted for in premiums. These companies are paying out and can’t operate with perpetual losses therefore they have to adjust with the times.

Interesting. I just switched to State Farm from Country Financial becuase I was sick of them going up.

Never thought State Farm would beat anyone on price, but they did, by about 10%. Could be a regional thing. Could also be a "promotional" thing.

My anecdotal observation is that about 75% of the billboards you see on the interstates are from personal injury lawyers.

So good luck with at.

There's certain folks who've been trained to demand an ambulance no matter how minor the accident, and holler neck or back pain.
