My wife (nudes on reddit) drives a paid off 2016 kia and complains that it's getting old, get something new. I tell her to shop around online for prices for something she'd want. That usually shuts her up for a month. Rinse and repeat. It really is ridiculous. Who are these people buying these vehicles at these prices?

I think I’ve purchased my last new car.
Same same .
I plan to keep my 10 year old paid off SUV for the rest of my life, unless some Ahole comes along while texting and driving and changes my plan… In the meantime , ive got a company car so i can keep the miles off my paid-off vehicle, and whenever that goes away , i plan to buy a “beater” vehicle to keep the miles off my main ride.. even beaters cost over $10k now, i realize that but at least it beats ever having to finance a vehicle again .

In before one of the usuals shows up to say the vehicle market is about to crash. Deals will be everywhere. Going on two years now waiting on this “crash”. LOL
UAW is asking for a 40% increase in pay. Unless they move more manufacturing to Mexico, prices are never going back down.

More people need to do this. Refuse to buy just to keep up with the Joneses and maybe sales will tank and force the car companies to return to selling reasonably priced vehicles

Ive been saying im going to buy a new car for 4 years now.
I originally wanted to change out because I started to hate my 2005 Lexus es330, but now im looking forward to year 18 with the ole lady.
Its become more about saying "frick you" to the industry than the money.
Fact is, you are driving a car that is more reliable and built better than anything you could buy new today.

How much are those electric bikes?
You can get a Fire Hazard for about $350...
FIFY.
I'm very familiar with this sector. DO NOT charge the battery of any $350 e-bike in your house!

Saw a talking head say the automakers don't really have much incentive to give concessions to end this strike. All the dealers are loaded with inventory that's moving slowly and this strike will keep prices up.
And they can shite down production for a while without having to close plants.

If you want one, buy it online from the manufacturer, and be patient. You will pay MSRP.

I buddy told me that the new tundra were $78,000 - I hope that’s fully loaded but I couldn’t imagine spending that much on a truck. I still think used preowned vehicles should cost around $35k

My 78 year old Mother totaled her car. So I stepped in to assist with the purchasing process. I’ve always bought online with VROOM or Hertz and had no issues. BUT, I will say this, J Allen Mazda in Gulfport has some f-ing deals right now. Go check their used inventory. You can get good deals on cars with less than 30K miles. Got my Mom a Mazda CX-5 with 13K miles for $25K

That’s why I keep buying new cars
Keeps me from having a huge number for a new car because I’m trading in every 3 to 5 years.
That is insane thinking. So you have perpetual car note and will never actually own anything....real genius there.

Nothing like taking on another mortgage payment but for a truck instead. Call me cheap but i agree not paying that much for a car or a truck.

I have a 2011 Silverado with 155,000 on it and works and drives perfectly. I have 2003 corolla with close to 200,000 that isn't much to look at but mechanically runs like a clock that I drive to work and around town. I had planned to replace both of them at some point and that was going to be my last vehicles seeing how I am 55. I was going to replace the car first with a new or nearly new corolla with all the modern bells and whistles ( old one doesn't even have cruise control ) But with prices not dropping I have wondering if maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy the tacoma I have been wanting.

It’s not about to crash. We are just getting started with the strikes and Market Value coming back. Just wait. Call it the PilotPrediction

Average vehicle loan is something like $750/mo now. That's insane to me.
