Do you order the whole fish option at a restaurant?

It’s a ton of food, messy AF, but damn there are so many different flavors and textures it’s hard to pass up.
Is there one fish that’ll make you go that route?
Had a red snapper this week that has me craving it again.

I've loved it since I was a kid and used to get the whole crispy fish at Genghis Khan, and the whole flounder at Brunings. My favorite now is at Peche, but had a fine one at Compere Lapin recently.

That looks delicious. I love a well prepared whole fish dish. Always more food than I can eat, but so good.
The whole fried red fish at Gris-Gris is delicious. The various preparations I've had at Peche have all been very good. Hard to beat a good ole deep fried fresh whole catfish, as well.

If I’m at a reputable place, sure

Yes. Mainly to freak people out when I crunch on the eyeballs

Meat on the bone is always better. Fish keeps to this rule. Whole flounder especially.

No usually, but there is a place in Perdido Key that makes an awesome fried whole flounder.

Every chance I get. The bones add flavor. Think stock.

Had whole branzino with lemon & capers a few weeks ago in Vegas and it made me a better person.

Absolutely. Local Thai place has a Crispy Ginger Snapper that is ridiculously good.

Agree with all.
Bones look like they have been scavenged by ants in the sun when I'm done.

Had the whole fish at jesse’s in ft Morgan tonight. Was a small snapper with Olive tapenade.
This was the best dish I’ve had in a restaurant in a while.
Will definitely make it a point to order whole fish if it’s available on menu in the future.

Yes! I love whole snapper when in Caribbean or Central American countries.
