The Christian Little-glazers are fascinating. Crying because the "rantards" are critical of the failed Vandy Boy who can't hit the strike zone and was destined to give up one run anytime he made an appearance is puzzling.

There’s nothing puzzling about it. Woke ranters. CRTate would be proud of dbg and his crew.

He was probably referring more to in-game attitudes. Some bitches on this board.

Seems like leverage to get more money now

It's not like he was a Top-50 guy that turned teams off with his bonus demand. 19th rounders don't have any leverage. It's a smart move. He's got a live arm but pro ball isn't the place to sort out your mental or mechanical issues. Everybody in pro ball has a live arm.

We need to send the sheriff out to SMD's for a welfare check after this news.

He probably just gave his wife 4 more black eyes after reading this.

but I never once saw him moping around in the dugout

THIS!!

He was always one of the first out of the dugout to greet a home run hitter. Seems like a team first dude.

Hope he gets it back together next season.

Exactly

These people who run down players because they don’t meet expectations need to shut up. They don’t know what they are talking about.

CJJ sees something in them or they wouldn’t be on the roster. Besides, many of the kids who were dismissed by people here became vital pieces on our championship team.

This is wild really make me dislike the reclass rules I feel like if you go up a grade in high school you should be able to stay in high school until an age limit is met. A lot of these reclasses I just don’t get unless your a fournette type talent which means your peaking extreme early and need to strike while iron is hot

Little’s problem was 100% mental.
No it wasn't. He could not locate his pitches. That is physical not mental.

Last season was really the outlier in terms of his ability to command the strike zone. In his Sophomore season at Vandy he had a walk rate of 4 per 9 innings. That's about where Ack, Floyd, and Guidry were this year. But for Little that ballooned to 7.5 walks per 9 innings this year. I don't know if it was mental or physical, maybe both, but I think it's fixable. And if it is, that's another good arm we could potentially rely on.

He will always have the Iowa loss to hold on to. “They’re gonna struggle against teams with a pulse”. LOL

Yeah do away with the shitty SEC umpires calling balls and strikes with their terribly tight zone and let trackman call it like it should be.

I know it'll never happen but I'd like to see the scoring results on the conference umpires that were "evaluated" vs the system by the SEC this past season. Bastards squeezed the hell out of our pitchers during the season and caused more than a few to run off the rails earlier than they should have.

As it has been mentioned before, Little is very young. He will be 20 when next season starts. In most cases, he would be starting his second, at most be a young 3rd year player next year.
I’m not cheerleading the kid, just saying 20 year olds who throw 95+ are welcomed on most SEC pitching staffs

I don’t understand how anyone could be unhappy that he’s returning. He may take giant steps forward. And I trust Jay’s handling of the pitching staff. If Little does not pitch well, he won’t see the mound. We have nothing to lose.

His fastball was sitting around 91/92mph most of the year then we got rid of that funny leg kick, changed his delivery and he was hitting 97mph in the post season.
