This CWS proves that you need to re-seed the 8 teams in Omaha after the Super Regionals..

Wake T8
LSU T8
Stanford T8
Tennessee Regional 2

Florida T8
Virginia T8
TCU Regional 2 seed
Oral Roberts Regional 4 seed

This will be our 8th game in 10 days to Florida's 6th in 11 days because they had a cake-walk in their half of the bracket.

Or, at least, give teams four full days off (not one) after the date of the final if necessary double elimination game; i.e. this series would have been Wed-Fri, not Sat-Mon.

Florida won every game by one run in their lead up to the finals. I wouldn’t call that a cakewalk.

And what would you do swap Stanford for ORU probably to give the 1 seed the worst team of the 8. Stanford had the worse pitching staff of the 8 teams in the field. I’m not sure that really changes anything.

If they reseeded it would be:

Wake
Virginia
Stanford
Oral Roberts

Florida
LSU
TCU
Tennessee

Not sure how much that helps anyone other than Wake.

If they championship is going to start fresh at 0-0, they need to at least give another day or two of rest so that it is more fair.

This is dumb considering the committee didn't pick who won the super regionals and regionals.

The shitty part is that I know we lost blah blah and I didn't want to make excuses and blame the ump after last Mondays lost but now I whole heartedly believe that if it wasn't for that ump we would have won that game.

Florida didn’t lose. That’s why.

Why not push the Championship Series to the next weekend and go Friday, Saturday, and Sunday? I think that’s the best way to do it

To me the real advantage is playing on Friday instead of Saturday. Jay was so obsessed with Paul not having a chance of rain that we ended the Super late and brought a Saturday start to Omaha.

Don't see them changing the format.

no to reseeding. Yes it is luck of the draw and we seem to get the short end more times than not. But oh well.

Having 8 games in 10 days is just ridiculous. No other sport would ever do something like that.

There should absolutely be more rest between the bracket and the finals.

I'd have no issues with reseeding the teams... but, LSU will generally be in a favorable position with the way things are now compared to smaller schools. Against the bigger schools, it makes no real difference. Theres no easy outs in Omaha.

Gotta beat who they put in front of you.

I think Ric Flair said it best

I'd like to see the tourney stretched out over a longer period of time.

Even though the current setup will most times favor big schools like LSU, in baseball, your pitchers are the most important position on the field. I'd like to see every team get a chance to start their ace more often. Specifically, I think the first round should be played one weekend, and not start the second round till the following weekend. After that, play it like it is now.

That would be the most "fair" I believe. Especially to the smaller schools. But it still provides advantage to those who recruit well and have a deep pitching staff.

Meh my only gripe is bumping up the championship series.

We don’t play arse defense yesterday with the most bizarre grand slam I’ve ever seen, who knows how that plays out.

Still got a shot to take it all today.

That’s baseball it’s what makes baseball so unique everyone wants to change baseball. If LSU takes care of business the first game against Wake it’s a different story. It’s going to make winning a national championship tonight that more impressive

never going to happen

This should happen

They've catered to the fans and TV, which you could argue is more important, but the game suffers.

The national championship series should be rested staff vs. rested staff. Why on earth would you want to decide it any other way?

More accurate initial seeding but no re-seeding.
