Im about to go to war here in the suburbs with a POS raccoon. Ive had enough of him. fricker comes in at night, tears my bird feeders down then takes a big shite on top of my pool cage for some reason. That's 3 times this week. He is also learning my pool cage up climbing all over it every night. Its time for him to live somewhere else

Will put my trap out tonight and catch his arse. There is a lake about a mile and a half away from my house that is wooded. It's honestly the only easy place to drop him off. Yes I live in a crowded suburban area. Far enough or is he coming back from there?

Google says at least 10 miles. Be prepared for how stinky those things are and it's gonna poop/pee in your truck/car when you do that.

Don't take prisoners. If you trap him, dispose of him.

I would like to do that but it would be hard where I live. Trust me.

It don’t have to be far at all, garbage can, ditch, woods, just throw the damn thing anywhere after you dispatch it

Bait the trap with a McDonald's cheeseburger. Relocate him about 2' under a pile of dirt or give it to someone who eats coon.

I have trapped probably 30-40 of them at my house.

I live in a pretty large subdivision. None made it out. .22 pistol with a silencer to the back of the head.

If you do relocate him here, tie a cinder block to his leg and make sure it's the middle of the lake.

We had one break into our attic and have 4 babies. With the help of a game camera and old baby monitor, we were able to track it while attempting to trap it. Multiple pest control "experts" involved. That thing knew every trick they threw at it. They confessed that they must release the racoon, but that they release it like 30 miles away in the state forest, because they are smart and will find their way back. They believed the one in my attic had been caught and released into the state forest across the highway from me. So now it understood the traps and was to bright to fall for it twice.

It took a month and we never caught it. We just caught the 3 of the 4 babies (two fell through the ceiling vent and were caught by hand) and it left on its own after that. Took nearly a month and THOUSANDS in costs and damage.

Makes a turd on top of your pool cage seem minor.

I HATE racoons now . Funny thing is about 3 weeks later, we see a varmint control vehicle parked at a house down the street. Would not be surprised if that same coon didn't set up shop in a house a half mile away.

You can whop a coon on the head with a hammer or a green limb to kill him.

If you are using a live animal trap, Please practice how you are going to open the trap to release the coon.

Coons are very aggressive and you don't want your hands anywhere close. I figured out how to use a couple of stiff wires with bent ends to get the door open.

Even after practicing some, when it came time to release it, I used the 22. That coon was mad.

Jfc just shoot the thing and end it quickly.

The people on an 'outdoor' board that are completely cool with torturing wildlife need a serious kick in the nuts

Yep. It's actually very sad and pathetic and they think it's cool and funny.

cover the trap with a towel, Cletus, like they do on Wild Kingdom.

A pellet gun shot to the head will do the trick and it's quiet enough to not alert the neighbors.

If you don't already have one, borrow one for a few days and get the deed done.
