This bitch is next. He won’t let me fish in the back yard. LOL. Will get him Gator Boys style. :)

Nice work bro. I have no interest in killing things that you aren't eating. Pointless IMO.

Yea, I know they cause some bigger problems. I wasn’t that mad at him. I don’t care to kill him. He played nice and lives somewhere else now.

After 6 nights of catching one last night the camera caught one trying to get the bait from the outside and dragging the trap around. Anyone have suggestions on what to do when they have identified the trap.

I honestly think that happened the first night for me. The trap was moved and the bait was still inside and the door was closed. I think he dragged it trying to get in from the wrong end then it shut.

I changed from peanut putter and fruit to a can of catfood and it got him.

Weird thing was, when I went to release him, the can of catfood was not in the trap. I just figured it would be. When I got back home, the can was in my back yard. Any thoughts on that? 2 maybe?

Was he ever aggressive or hiss at you? What did he do when you let him go?

No. He was quiet and didnt even move around in the cage much when I carried him from the back yard to the driveway to put him in the back of the truck.

I was careful when I put the cage on the ground and opened the door. He did not run out immediately. It was still dark and I had a towel over the cage. He ran out about 15 feet and turned around and looked at me. Then he took off. He was bigger than I thought once he came out.

I think when he turned around, we had a moment. He was saying " Thanks for not shooting or drowning me baw".

He was sizing you up for a charge attack.

My dad used to catch them near his pool and relocate them to Jean Lafitte Refuge. Found out later that it is a biiiiggg no-no to put suburban coons on federal wildlife refuges. It may be less illegal to grill the sumbitches.

Well if the Raccoon and the Gator were not enough to deal with this week, yesterday my wife went in the garage to get something out of the fridge and this guy ran under my cabinets. Her dumbass friend was over and filmed it. I was just waiting for him to come out so I can get him out of the garage. Once he goes under the cabinets, there is no getting to him. I left the garage open a bit last night. Hopefully he has left us.... Been a fun week here in south Florida

You could start a zoo.

How far did you go before releasing the raccoon?

Maybe he worked that can out from the side of the live trap or close to the entrance then it shut on him getting it out?
Ive lost a few that get the bait out so i put an empty soup can and bolted to the floor so they have to enter if they want it.

Also those hav a hart live traps fit great in a trash can filled with water. Not that i endorse that or anything
