They say iron sharpens iron. I hope so. LSUs first 18 conference games (6 series) are against top 25 teams. I wonder if that’s ever happened.

In order LSU plays at A$M, at home Arkansas, at home Tennessee, away at South Carolina, at home Kentucky, and away at Ole Miss.

It’s going to be a fun few weeks to watch baseball, every series is big. It’s really too early to know how the SEC plays out. There’s gonna be a lot of cannibalization in the SEC over the next few weeks. Look for the 6 and 0 teams to come back to the pack and the 0-6 teams like Ole Miss to start playing spoiler.

If LSU can win two of three in each of these series, that would be impressive. If they give Skenes any sort of run support, they should win the openers.

Let's be real, everybody in the SEC had a schedule that brutal. Ours is rough, but we avoid Florida and Vandy. When there's about 9 or 10 ranked teams in a 14 team league, there is no week off.

As brutal as it seems, we avoid Florida and Vandy. Could be worse.

South Carolina plays Miss State next weekend. Look for them to be 9-0 in SEC play when we travel to Columbia.

The SEC is brutal every year.

Starting 4-2 vs a top 20 A&M and top 5 Arky teams has me happy.

They still have room for improvement too!

Tennessee and South Carolina are legit.

I still think Kentucky is a fraud and will come back down to earth in a major way as their last 6 conference series are the best teams they play.

Ole Miss will improve when the get Elliot back but right now there are major pitching marks.

The last 6 conference series for LSU set up very well.

A&M is 1-5 in the SEC. Tennessee just swept the Aggies and Tennessee is only 3-3 in SEC play.

Unlike in past seasons, it looks like the SECE will be dominant.

I’m ok with Florida and Vandy dominating west teams

Tennessee and South Carolina are legit.

Yes they are and both have the toughest road ahead to this point. They both get all the East teams plus Ark and LSU. And Tenn has both of those on the road. Oddly USC swept Mizzou while Tenn got swept by them.

Record of our first five conference opponents in conference: 19-11
Record of our second five conference opponents in conference: 5-25
Schedule is definitely front-loaded. Team could go on a tear in May.

Enjoy the tough matchups early. Get the team nice and seasoned come the end of the season to get hot going into the post season.

Still really early. Starts like this are why I said there could be a bunch of teams around 17-19 wins with 20 taking it all. USCe and Ky won’t stay this hot. And Ole Miss and A&M won’t stay this cold.

The schedule is not as tough as you make it seem. Ole Miss is 0-6 in the SEC. That doesn't sound very tough. What they did last year is meaningless.

Ole Miss started terribly last season too. For just about all of these SEC teams all they have to do is make the tournament and they're talented enough to go on a tear and win it all if they get hot at the right time.

I like the way our schedule sets up. Take our lumps and possibly get humbled early and go on a run and peak at the end of the season

Once we get through Tenner and South Carolina, things really relax a bit. Obviously every SEC series will be a battle, but if we can 4-2 over the next 2 weekends, or even just 3-3, I'll be reaaaaally happy.
