Video

There was discussion in a thread recently about prison being too comfortable, and possibly not serving as a deterrent. I’m sure that this isn’t typical, but check it out.

So if your commit a crime there's little chance you'll get arrested.
And if you do go to jail, there's hardly any rules enforced.

Anybody wonder why crime is increasing?
Could it be because there's little deterrent?

I’ve seen that. Just as stupid, imo.

Not in any jail or prison I've been to.

But I am not the most experienced

It works for them...better than our results.

But that approach probably wouldn't have the success here

There's nothing like that prison in the video anywhere in the South, that's for sure. Places like Angola, Hunts, or Parchman aren't anywhere you want to spend time.

Frick that. They should have PB&J sandwiches and bologna sandwiches to eat and no tv. Read books preferably romance novels and Louis L'Amour.

No exercise equipment so they become big hulks. No mattresses on the sleeping platforms, either, with a single blanket and flat pillow.

Prison shouldn't be better than homes; it should be something you never want to repeat.

That’s surprising for a level 3 facility meaning it’s a high security prison.

I could see that in a minimum security prison.

The prison system in the US is pretty inconsistent. Some can be really nice for a prison, others can be a living hell.

You don’t want to end up somewhere like ADX or San Quentin
