"Not a scam"? It is in cities like N.Y., Chicago, Philly, Baltimore, Detroit, etc. The various "mobs" in those cities have them organized: they are picked up in groups around the cities, dropped off at specific locations around the cities, & then picked up at the end of the day. Each one has a quota to meet, the pickup driver takes the bulk of the money, leaving a small cut for the individual begger.

See, this is why you don’t put the buggys back.

The perp pictures in OP drove up to at Lowe’s on siegen parking lot I think and ask for cash for some reason. I told him know sorry.

He looked familiar even back then, so it might have happened once in another parking lot.

Had a guy approach me in Target about how his car was out of gas on Seigen and the police were telling him he had to move it or they would tow it.

I said "Funny I just rolled up 2 min ago and didn't see any police or broken down cars"

He just turned and walked away.

Good ole Kevin. Saw him in the HomeDepot parking lot last weekend. I always just say i gave you money last week and he shuffles on. He got me at Walgreens on old Hammond several years ago. His main spots are market fresh walmart, Home Depot, Costco, Rouses Drusilla and CVS on bluebonnet.

I have an irrational hatred for these bumming types. If a vigilante started taking them out, I would have a hard time convicting them.

After Hurricane Katrina, BR was inundated with displaced folks, as we all remember. Maybe three days after the storm, I stopped to get gas at the station in front of Home Depot on Coursey. A fella that looked exactly like this guy came up, said he lost his home in the storm, and needed gas money to get to College Drive to meet up with his daughter. I didn't have cash but offered to give him a ride. Don't pick up strangers, I was young and stupid.

We were on I-12 heading West into the split when he asked if I could stop at an ATM. I pulled over and made him get out. Left him there standing on the shoulder of the interstate. If it was this guy he's been at it for alot longer than 10 years.

How in the hell do adults keep getting bamboozled by these worthless bums? Quit feeding the strays and they’ll go away. Everyone should already know this.

He got me. Had lost his wallet. Out of gas. Would mail me a check.

Okay, I'm a sucker for a sob story but... people have helped me before in life.

I look at it this way: I'm helping because I'm commanded by God to love my neighbor. What his motives are or if he abuses that... that's on him. He has to answer to God for his actions. I answer for mine.

It's sad someone would abuse the good will of others but happens to churches all the time.

So a year later our scammer from page 1 here caught me again and I said, "You don't remember? You told me that same sad story a year ago over at the gas station on..."

He just walked away.

Maybe he needs to take the show on the road.

He told me he was a drug sales rep I believe and he had to be to Hammond for something etc. and was in a nice vehicle.

Is he doing a social experiment with this? That's a lot of hassle for a few bucks!
