ESPN

Players and fans had become frustrated with him, so this was best for the locker room.

Honestly I thought he did a great job with the game plan in the wildcard. Had Huntley playing way better than I thought minus the goal line fumble. However, I think the prior six weeks worth of performances really did him in.

Ravens really need to get a guy that has some very fresh ideas to help Lamar develop as a passing QB. If they are going to be successful I think he has to be a pass first QB in the regular season so that in the playoffs he is healthy and fresh and can utilize his legs more.

The best you can do is use the scheme to get guys open because I don't see how he can develop as a passer.

MAYBE if he had a guy like Daboll his first few years, but it's been a long time in the NFL and he's likely crystalized.

Aren't the Ravens kinda pigeonholed into playing a specific type of offense (run heavy) due to their passing liability at QB?

Next LSU OC to the Ravens? That would be an interesting hire.

The Ravens didn't really do him any favors with that receiving corp. They are probably the NFL's worst.

NFL receivers are the biggest stat whores. No one decent wants to play for a team that runs the ball 70% of the time and the #1 target when they do pass is the tight end. Curious to see how John Harbaugh plays this one. Either way he goes with the OC, someone isn't going to be happy.

Jackson’s passing is fine. The scheme and WRs suck.

Roman, while he did some nice stuff, ran too much tight formation, inside the hash stuff. Spread it out and let Lamar cook.

Dan Enos would’ve been first on the list but he’s headed back to arky

I know he was there a while and things get stale with coaches, but I thought he did as good of a job as you could with a shite WR core and a backup QB for part of the season. Their RBs were all hurt also.

Plus Mark Andrews played hurt and missed several games also

That is why LSU OC is a perfect fit to help fix the passing liability at QB. He did a great job with the dual threat quarterback that had a difficult time to get his passing game solved until the OC helped him with his passes. I thought being in the NFL will be much better for him and his family.

Jackson isn’t a great passer, but I think opening the scheme up more and getting him a receiver would benefit him a lot. I think he would be a great fit in a system similar to what the eagles run, but a lot easier said than done because Hurts is on a rookie deal and the rest of the team is stacked.

Yeah a bona fide WR1 would open up that offense, but Lamar would have to acknowledge he's not an elite QB and take the associated paycut. He won't do that, so either his team gets lucky with a 2nd-5th round WR who becomes a WR1 or Lamar's offense will always be mediocre-bad passing

They drafted rashod bateman in round one a couple years ago. He has been hurt and just isn't that great.
