The one that I always mention when this topic comes up.
"Nothings too good for the man who shot Liberty Valance"

Every single freaking time.

Has no one mentioned Bruce Willis at the end of Armageddon saying goodbye to his daughter?

Voicemail scene
Oh we're doing scenes that makes you cry? I'll give one: The scene in Children of Men when all the soldiers stop in awe as they exit the building. That movie builds up the dread and lack of hope only to have that scene show how powerful it is to us, even in the most intense and aggressive of moments.

The scene in Brian's Song when Billy Dee Williams (playing Gale Sayers) tells the team that James Caan (playing Brian Picolo) has cancer. The music alone will bring me to tears all these decades later.

The tank scene on Alls Quiet on the Western Front is tough too
And I always hated in Jaws when Quint dies. I loved his character

To piggyback off of the lonesome dove posts. Augustus reading Deets’ tombstone is pretty heart wrenching for me.

Jaws is one of my favorite movies and Quint is the best part of the movie.

Clark when he found out Wally World was closed. That was very heartbreaking

Not the biggest, but the unexpected gut punch at the end of 8-bit Christmas hit me.

The rewatchables shite all over this though.
Seems to me like that a-hole Ben Simmons and company just don’t get it. Same with the earn it scene.

No it's just done poorly and is not necessary. Too much simplistic spoon-feeding with poor production qualities.
Doing poorly-done gimmicky stuff like that really detracts from a movie. It lowers its quality tier.

It takes nothing away from the film’s quality.
Imagine living with that weight for 50+ years. Knowing that many men laid down their lives specifically for you. And not only that, they did it during warfare and it’s been extremely difficult to impossible for you to discuss it with people that you love. You also have to live with the knowledge that you got to have a family, you got to see your children grow up, you got to watch your children have children etc.
Yeah, I would imagine that he would want to know that he lived up to the men that died for him.

Near the end of Marley and Me when they find him outside laying under a tree. Great movie but I’ve never watched it again, and I never will.

Another one for me was after Woodrow places last rock onto Gus' grave. He kind of pats the last one and stands up and says "Well there ya are, Augustus." And then he breaks down in tears.
And when Gus rides off without Call to go to the picnic site.
Gus- When was you the happiest, Call?
Woodrow- Happiest about what?
Gus- About just being a live human being, free on the earth?
