This is very debatable

It’s because he thinks he can improve his draft status. Really not hard at all to figure out.

Gordon promised to match whatever his rookie contract would have been for a 4-7 round pick, so he can try to work on improving his draft stock. It's not that difficult to figure out once you think logically.

Wishcasting? Huh? Look, I have know doubt that Jayden told Boutte that they would do that 10K catch thing in the off season and that Jayden promised to throw him the ball more so he could go high in the draft. Win. Win.

Uh, not at all. Max Johnson was a more effective passer in his sophomore year than Daniels has been at any point over his 4 years as a starter.

It’s mostly likely that Boutte’s draft grade plummeted. By comparison, Nabers draft grade improved greatly.

Nabers isn’t draft eligible. Would he be given a draft grade at this stage?

Nice try but the reality is nobody knows. We are simply going to have to watch how this plays out.

Obviously none of us know his reason but it certainly supports some sort of change from an offensive scheme or QB. I mean Boutte could get significant NIL dollars elsewhere as well. He likely knows something whether it’s a change at QB or a commitment from Kelly to push the ball downfield or scheme differently. It makes more sense that it’s some sort of change but who knows. Why risk another injury in college for 500 yards and 2 TDs. Daniels showed out against Florida with over 300 yards passing and even three with anticipation so maybe he sees an opportunity with both QBs. It will be a fun spring either way.

Not sure what you mean by “nice try.” The guy I responded to said Nabers’ draft grade improved. I simply asked would he be given one.

As a freshman he set the SEC record for single game receiving yards with Max Johnson throwing to him.

And that accounted for like half of his yards and tds that year.

So outside of one game, again his stats dont back up the hype. Im not saying he isnt good or anything. He's never broken 750yds in season though. For the insane hype(heisman, all american, etc), he simply hasnt performed.

Its ok, but 500yds receiving is garbage.

He actually met with BK and an advisor and was told he is losing millions if he goes pro now. The offense will be built around him for 2023.

We haven’t had a coach who runs the program like a business in a long time.

Big NIL deal, improving his draft stock and earning his degree. He’s a dad now so family first.

Well, think of how many more he could have dropped if 5 had thrown him the ball.

I’m not a draft expert, but my guess is to go from a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick to a Top10 draft pick.

And there’s probably some NIL money to bridge the gap.

Exactly. One good thing about NIL is that these young men don't have to make that business decision and leave as soon as they can. For so long it seemed like every player that was draft eligible was gone. Even if they weren't projected to be a top pick. I think they were trying to get to the league to help their families. A lot of these guys grew up dirt poor so even if they make the league minimum that's a big deal for them and their families.

Also, I don't know if Les and Coach O were that persuasive when it came to trying to get guys to come back. I don't know how hard they tried to keep them.

I would do the 10,000 catches with the other two QBs . Wasting time with JD .

Yes, it’s wish-casting and it’s bizarre.

Boutte needs to re-affirm to the league that he’s still that dude after an uninspired season and wants to come back and win more with this group of guys.

Like, he literally said this. But instead of taking is own words at face value we’re gonna contort reality to make this about Daniels?

Like I said…. It’s bizarre.

NIL is a huge factor in this. If you are not a 1st rounder, the NIL can help offset what you would make as a rookie in the NFL, might even match what you would make as a 4th-7th rounder, come back to college for another year, improve your draft stock, get your degree, play for a National Championship, makes sense to me.

Same answer as when they leave early..."doing what they think is best for themselves".

Knows Jayden is going to the draft and his qb next year is going to throw him lots of 50/50 balls to show off his skill set the best.

Yep wasting time, hate to waste time with the current qb1, who will have the leg up to be qb1 next season if he stays.

You guys are setting yourself up for a huge letdown. If JD returns he is starting. Right or wrong, like it or not.

If I had to bet now, I'd bet on JD starting. I'd rather be surprised if a change happens than be let down when it doesn't happen
