Then he offerred asst coaches to help and Ole Miss tried to recruit Charlie Weiss , necesitating a redoing of his contract by LSU to retain him . I hate to break the news to you , but Ole Miss is NOT a football coach destination . LSU , OSU , Alabama , Georgia are . Once LSU gets rolling … great instate recruiting , facility , money , no real instate competition for players and LSU is fertile football player grounds !! Look who La puts in the NFL !!

As a head coach , you represent the university . It is never acceptable to use MF in a University press conference . He needed to be polite , clean shaven and on point . If he could not do that , find an interim coach who could . There are plenty .

I watched the game . JM was punting when the guy blocking wasnt paying attention , got blocked into the punter and was kicked in his butt ! This resulted in a duck scoop and score . Then , on a kickoff , the kicker kicks a 15 yard line drive into a duck players helmet and the ball bounces 90 degrees out of bounds . Duck ball at nearly mid field . JM really belongs competing for the natty !

When I was a kid , coaches stayed at colleges , like Schembechler at Michigan , Hayes at OSU , Paterno at PSU . This is a different era . Saban made the comment that his uncle Lou , told him to use certain jobs as stepping stones to better jobs . This is a different era . With NIL and the portal and unlimited transfers and playoffs going on forever , college football is now a business . The Old Miss crowd seem stuck in a time warp .Rah rah and pom poms !
