He had nowhere near 20 drops.

2 very good reasons:

1-to get his body healthy
2-to get his mind healthy

KB was set to be the next OBJ yet ran into a non-passing QB

Do you realize Boutte's best performances were with Max Johnson playing QB? Think about this when you're ridiculously blaming Daniels for Boutte's lack of production this season. Boutte, with Max Johnson throwing him passes, played like a no doubt first round pick. Daniels might have some faults, but he's a much better passer than Johnson.

I don't care who starts at QB next year. I'll support whoever it is. Just wanted to point out the absurdity of some of these comments about Boutte's lack of production being because Daniels.

Boutte's main problem this year was that he didn't have the same explosiveness he had before his injury. That, and I think he lost confidence and focus at times, probably because he wasn't his old self physically.

It’s mostly likely that Boutte’s draft grade plummeted. By comparison, Nabers draft grade improved greatly.

I’m not a draft expert, but my guess is to go from a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick to a Top10 draft pick.

Being a top 10 pick might be part of it bc he’s listed in the 1st round still in the mock drafts I’ve seen.

With the way that he was under utilized

?Not really, he knows he didn't play like he could because of his injury and can be a top 10 pick if he goes back to his form before the injury. He was utilized but he was not ready, dropped passes and lack of effort was his problem.

Because his NIL is bigger than a paycheck in the NFL. I don't see them throwing out Lambo's in the NFL....

His stats don't backup the hype plain and simple.

Stats don’t always tell the whole story BUT KB has produced at an insane rate when actually HEALTHY. The end of his Freshman & up until the UK game where he was hurt KB was hands down the BEST WR in the SEC & probably the nation.

Yep. It's a perfect example of how the low IQ idiots on here will twist something into whatever it is they want to believe.

Hasn't him and his family been lifelong LSU fans? Maybe he didn't want this season to be how his LSU career ends. Like he said, he wants to win a championship here.

Why would Boutte come back?
because he had a terrible season and he knows it hurt his draft stock. He wouldn't get picked in the 1st round if he came out this year. So, he's coming back to rectify that by having a similar season to his soph season.

You were also the very last defender of Les Miles' offense. IMO, Boutte isn't really committed to coming back. He is a late 1st round pick right now, and may just need confirmation. A WR who had a near career ending injury, don't see why he would come back and risk another injury.

Jayden Daniels can’t throw the ball downfield

Boutte was not happy with the ball not being thrown down field

Boutte decides to stay suddenly when it was forgone conclusion he was gone

Fans question on an LSU fan message board if I that could be sign Daniels is not coming back

It’s pretty simple to understand actually, and a logical thing to discuss in a place designed for LSU football to be discussed

He would not come back if he thought for a second that JD could possibly be the QB next year. JD made the receivers look really poor this year. They proved in the 2nd half with Nuss that if a QB is willing to throw the ball to open spaces, they are willing to go get it. JD has no concept of this, on the field anyway. No way Boutte comes back with JD as his thrower....

As a freshman he set the SEC record for single game receiving yards with Max Johnson throwing to him.
