Ask yourself this. Why would Boutte come back?

I don't think it's only to improve his draft status. His draft status can certainly be improved, but will LSU's passing game allow that to happen?

With the way that he was under utilized, what would make him think next year is going to be different?

The best explanation I can come up with is, he knows something we don't.

Perhaps it's just the way the program is being ran as a whole.

I don't know the reason, but it sure is encouraging.

This is it, the program is trending in the right direction and he sees next year could be special, and wouldn't hurt to try and help his draft stock

So many of you are wishcasting his reason for staying as some type of swipe at Jayden. I don’t understand this place.

Or maybe he's getting paid via NIL and doesn't want to leave his brand new baby yet.

I’m not a draft expert, but my guess is to go from a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick to a Top10 draft pick.

And there’s probably some NIL money to bridge the gap.

One reason is I think he’s just now fully healthy. He hadn’t looked that explosive all year - it takes a while to get to 100% after you just about snap off your foot.

Without NIL I think he would have had to leave for that NFL money.

KB is a smart guy. Any knock against him from an NFL standpoint has not been about talent. It has been about possible attitude issues. The further he can distance himself from O the better. Sticking around another year proves that he has matured under Kelly and is a more team player. Genius move.

The only thing Boutte knows is that he needs to play way better if he wants to get drafted high.

It’s not a damn conspiracy.

I honestly was concerned that if he did not go to the draft he would transfer to get more touches as we struggled with the passing game. I was not attributing this to any "butthurt" line of thinking but more a real non NIL business decision. If we cannot get the ball out effectively then he is not going to improve any draft status due to no fault of his own. DV away...

Money. Dont fool yourself. The amount of money offered here vs what his draft projection would be. Tbh, he aint that good. Imo he should be transferring not Bech.

Nobody said it was a conspiracy. I'm simply pondering his rationale.

Homie dropped at least 20 passes this year. It’s okay to criticize the QB, but you’re pointing the finger like Boutte did nothing wrong.

It's the NFL, not an overseas military deployment. His family would just go wherever he got drafted.

no NIL is paying him what he would’ve gotten as a 1-2 round pick

Im not suggesting that he is. But it's obviously enough not to have to jump ship when you aren't ready.
