I get it on the LSAT it's a shitty test and the word games part can be maddening. But you need something to gage prospective lawyers.

You could go the way of most European countries and adopt the apprentice program. Less lawyers though, but probably better lawyers. You still have to pass the bar though. Louisiana bar is no cakewalk.

WRONG.

And there's no way that you can be THIS F*CKING STUPID.

Everyone knows why they’re dropping the LSAT (and the ACT and the MCAT and the SAT and the GMAT., etc.). They see that their completely f*cking racist and unconstitutional admission policies that have been implemented over the last 55 years are getting ready to finally be eradicated. So, now they want to develop a system, whereby they can keep racially discriminating against a certain segment of society, and it’ll be much harder to prove. It doesn’t take a f*cking genius to figure this out.

I will say, if someone goes to law school without taking the LSAT and graduates and passes the bar exam, then I would consider them perfectly qualified to be a lawyer.

I mean we don't need any more lawyers as is
Probably not true. They're not as bad as doctors, but they have gone to lengths to artificially limit the number of attorneys, and there now are observable shortages in many areas.

On the surface, it's not obvious to me that a good attorney must also do great on the LSAT. However, eliminating it in the name of "equity" is likely misguided.

The law schools can still use it, now they just don't have to. It will be interesting to see which schools drop it. Southern in B.R., of all places, says it will continue to use the LSAT for admissions.

I would not be surprised if some schools, your Yale/Harvard types, ignore it for the sake of diversity but apply it to over-represented groups.

I had always heard the LSAT was the closest thing to just a straight up IQ test amongst standardized tests.

Fook mi, without a good score on the LSAT, there is literally no telling where I would be right now.

Probably prison or the cemetery.

You'll see a lot more people fail Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 of the licensing process if schools continue to pop up and the MCAT goes away.

It's 2022. How much "lawyering" do you think is being done by baby lawyers in less than a year?

The LSAT has 3 sections - a logic games, analytical reasoning and writing sample - all three of which are necessary skills to successfully get through law school.

Should it be revamped? Yes. Eliminated? No.

Someone could have a 4.0 GPA in kinesiology, but it doesn’t mean that this person has the best analytical or logical skills and should be automatically admitted into law school.

The next step will be to remove the bar exam. Why lower the bar when you can just completely remove it?

The lesson here is to use white males for professional services. You know they earned their spot.

There's no writing sample portion of the test.

Actually, I see that there is now. Sorry.

I honestly don't remember writing when I took it, but that was a lifetime ago.

Well, the rest must have changed since I took it.
