Because Covid, the flu and pneumonia were all counted as Covid. It was right there in black and white in every chart the cdc and Louisiana put out. Also, every pneumonia death was counted in that too. In 2019 I think we averaged 5k deaths nationally per month. In 2020 those all became Covid deaths.

Truth

The moronic will believe that the exact same precautions that didn’t slow the spread of the Spanish flu nor the Covid-19 virus somehow eradicated the various strains of influenza for two consecutive calendar years?

Let's start from the mainstream consensus: that COVID was more contagious than the flu. Note that I'm not referencing symptoms or severity at all. Just how contagious.

Society distanced from one another, wore masks, and washed their hands vastly more frequently than they did before 2020 and vastly more frequently than they are today. Whether you believe that was good policy or not is irrelevant; that it occurred is objective fact.

It would logically follow that precautions taken to combat a more contagious virus would be even more effective at preventing a less contagious virus. But, once those precautions ended, said less contagious virus would return to normal levels.

Naaa, I say we stick with the going theory that COVID was fake news and just make believe from the global elites

Masks and distance stopped the flu. We don’t do that anymore
Nah. Here in the PNW a lot of people are still wearing them outside even. There are shops and stores that require them and it's mandatory in some schools still yet there are bugs everywhere.

Are you implying that the flu was almost nonexistent the last couple of years, because they told you it was nonexistent the past couple of years?

When you monetize COVID for hospitals, well you can figure out the rest.

It’s also silly to assume people were washing their hands more and just all stopped at some arbitrary date. When did this happen? You stop washing your hands? I guess I didn’t get the memo.

Are strawman arguments your thing or something? I didn’t say people stopped washing their hands entirely. I said that the rate of hand washing has been reduced from the abnormally high levels during Covid. If you’re arguing either that hand washing didn’t increase during Covid, or that hand washing levels haven’t seemingly regressed towards the mean, I’m not sure what to tell you. Do you just not spend much time around other humans?

Now explain why millions got covid at the same time.

Didn’t eradicate it. I still saw it. It was just much more rare.

Because the need to push pharmaceuticals is huge.

The more people get the flu shots, the more money exchanges hands. That’s never meant to have everyone’s well being at heart.

Everyone saying that masking and hand washing kept the flu at bay last year is laughable.

Most states, including Louisiana, had lifted the mask mandate by the time flu season started last year. People had returned to normal.

Do you think every virus is equally contagious?

BINGO

My doctor, my ex wife's doctor, my kid's doctor (all different people) have all said the same damn thing.

Great example, and I just can't wait for the Covidians to tell me this didn't happen.

My EX has bad asthma. She got "Covid" about a year or so after all the hype started, and people were beginning to see the farce it was. Having asthma, she was really on high alert. Her doctor told her straight up: Based on your symptoms, I think you have the flu, not Covid. We have had HUNDREDS of false positive Covid results. Likely more. With your asthma condition, if you have Covid, two days from now you are going to need to be on a vent. If you have the flu, you will just be miserable, but you will be fine when it comes to breathing, etc.

A week went by and her asthma didn't get worse. She went back and got tested two days later, however. Test was negative. Dr. told her she had the flu, but would she would still be reported as a COVID patient.

It was all about the hype and the money. Period.
