I know him and he does have some fighter and grit. He is insanely smart and sharp and can be diplomatic when possible but when it’s not possible, he is a fighter and can handle himself very well. Easily in the top 3 sharpest minds in the U.S. Capitol right now and a true conservative Patriot.

Watching him waste some of the arrogant smarty pants New Orleans Libs during the short time he was in the Louisiana legislature was great. I knew early into his term as a Louisiana House Rep that he'd wind up in Congress and be in some sort of leadership position. I did not expect House Speaker this quickly though. However, it's not that surprising given his demeanor, smarts and principles.
