This looks great and I can not believe they actually used the ankle wings for Namor.

Trailer looks pretty solid.

Not a bad trailer. Namor story looks like it's going to be fun.

Looks great.
Ballsy of them to attempt to show functional ankle wings. That's something that seemed like a good idea in the 1940's but jumping that from comic to modern screen could come across as ridiculous.
Looking forward to the Wakandan/Atlantean War.

The first movie in this phase that seems to have real weight and stakes to it. No resurrected zombies, no orgy or repetitve goat jokes.

Let's fricking go. Calling it now, Feige/MCU will get back in a groove:
Wish they would've been a little more cryptic on that final shot, but can't have everything
Give us some more Kendrick beats in this one and it's going to be awesome

Goil Powah!!!
Yeah the trailer looks good, though trailers usually do. I'm a bit more optimistic with this one than what we have been getting, but I'm still skeptical MCU can put out anything worthwhile anymore. I hope they prove me wrong. Chadwick deserves to have his legacy done justice

Eh let’s be honest that first shot of the new BP from the last trailer confirmed it was Shuri, M’Baku is way too big to look that slim

T’Challa is too important as a character to not recast.

Should’ve called it “The Real Housewives of Wakanda”

There are a ton of leaks out there regarding this movie but if true, there is a major character coming.

A few observations:
Looks like Ironheart will appear. I sincerely hope they do better with her than they did in the comics. She was supposed to be a Miles Morales-esque continuation to a beloved legacy character, but she was very poorly written which caused her to fall flat in her series. One of the things I love about younger heroes is that they are often seen being thrilled/amazed with the heroics, which can get lost when you have all adults dealing with a million emergencies and such.
Shuri as the Black Panther follows the trend of the comics, but Shuri was pretty different in the comics. I wonder if they'll have time to give her a good arc to grow into the role or if the movie doesn't give her time with Namor, Ironheart, etc all being introduced.
I am a bit saddened that we won't see the Namor/T'Challa dynamic, but the real reason for their animosity stems from the events of AvX, when Namor has a fraction of the Phoenix-force and (with the heroes trying to stop the X-Men with these abilities hiding out there) attacks and floods Wakanda's capital, killing a huge number of people. Namor views it, even after the fact, as an act carried out during war while T'Challa does not. They only work together during times of crisis, and once T'Challa nearly kills Namor during the incursion event.

It actually looks better (on the surface) than anything since Endgame.

quote:Yeah. That would've been fantastic for Disney Marvel's image. No way they wouldn't look like assholes for recasting Boseman's character, or looking insensitive to the black segment of their audience by pausing all things Wakanda for ten years. Keeping the Wakanda story going while building a sequel celebrating Boseman/T'Challa was their best option by far.

I didn't realize Namor was a mutant. With the sorta mutant tease at the end of Ms. Marvel and now the introduction of Namor, is this going to lead to anything X-Men related?
