I'm jealous. My carpool buddies only talk about Fortnite and Minecraft.

You are supposed to have a plan for harvesting/processing an elk. It is a big deal to waste any of it. They hammer you if you get caught.

Is he sure it was an Elk, or was it actually a Husky?

Bruh, I'm sure there are plenty of good Mormons you could catch a ride home with.

Or, he could have just paid for an Uber for you.

Wouldn’t bother me a bit in the world especially with the cost of groceries.

If you go in by yourself for elk, and you don't have the plan to pack it out before it spoils, you need to have your head checked.

I am sure that that it has already been said, but the correct answer to his question is- "Hell no. Let's run by my house and get my shite so WE can go cut that elk up". That's what men do.

There wasn't anything offered.
I would have had to ride home with someone else while my Carpool Buddy leaves work early and takes my car to help his friend that shot an Elk that had no plan to get the F'er out.
He must have found a way out because he texted me that he left work.

When your work is a 110 mile round Trip & Fuel is over $4 a gallon because some F'ing Retard decided it'd be a good idea to cripple the Fossil fuel industry.

I'd say 80% of the People that work out here Carpool. It's Northrop Grumman, Promontory Utah. Formerly Known as Thiokol & ATK.
We build Rockets, Boosters, Flares, stuff like that.

What an a-hole thing to even have to say no to, which is what I would have done too. Next week he'd be asking to borrow your wife's mouth and anus.

Who the frick goes hunting without a plan? I’d think the obvious default is to expect to kill something and prepare accordingly. If you don’t, no big deal. Seems infinitely better to be prepared and wind up having not needed to be than the other way around.

Was he hunting deer that he knew he could walk back and get his 4-wheeler, drive back to the deer and throw it over by himself, but came upon an elk that was too big/rare in those particular woods and just couldn’t pass it up? Regardless, your “buddy” is an a-hole for putting you in that position. I’m sure he’ll paint you as the a-hole.

And was his offer to drive your car to his house and take his vehicle to the woods or to take your car straight there and have you meet him at his house later on? shite might have taken longer than it would take you get a ride to his house to pick up the car. Then you’ve either got to go there and wait or get dropped off at your house and then get a ride back to his house later, further inconveniencing not just you, but whoever has to take you there. If he was taking your ride to the woods, did he at least offer to reimburse you for the extra mileage and gas? And what about the blood he’d likely transfer to your car?

I’m not a selfish a-hole like shel—I’d let a buddy take my car for an emergency without thinking twice. But I don’t believe this qualifies in any way. Not sure I believe it at all. More likely he needed help covering up a human he happened to kill. Unless he is just that stupid.
