I mean, sounds like a good time to me. That and probably getting 20lbs of fresh elk meat and that’s a hell yeah for me brother

What would you do?

Be energetic about it and ask if they need help.

If you drag an animal and or help cut it up it's expected to share. It's a lot of damn work.

Probably not the liz you are thinking of. that liz was brunette and very little, pretty, with alligators in her backyard.

You are supposed to have a plan for harvesting/processing an elk.

People go out alone all the time.

They always get help. Buddies don't let buddies down if they need help during elk season.

I've got several friends with tags. I always get a call and I'll put in some time and get elk meat.

There wasn't anything offered. I would have had to ride home with someone else while my Carpool Buddy leaves work early and takes my car to help his friend that shot an Elk that had no plan to get the F'er out. He must have found a way out because he texted me that he left work.

“Here’s my keys, bring me some of those steaks”

It’s not that hard.

If you aren’t into it, easy enough to say no but navigating the situation to get you some compensation is pretty darn easy

How well do I know the guy asking to borrow my car?

Riding home with randos isn't a big deal I uber and take public transport on vacations. I could do an hour of small talk or silence scrolling this site.

A better question is, what kinda idiot works a 110 mile round trip away from his home?

I would only carpool with a hot chick that enjoyed giving BJs so I got nothing helpful to say.

I would leave work with my carpool buddy and help him clean the elk, if he would give me some backstrap.

Why can’t your carpool buddy drive his own car to get the elk meat?

You sound like a douche. I would have said, you want some help, and take home some meat for my trouble.

Just glancing at some Utah elk seasons online, when did your buddy say he killed this elk?

shite baw you should be going help yourself in exchange for a back strap. Shooting it’s the east part. Breaking down a 700 lb animal miles from a road and packing it out is the tough part.
