I carpool since my work is an hour away, I drove Today.
My Carpool partner came and asked me if he could drive my car home if he found me a ride Home, so he could go help his Buddy with an Elk he shot By Himself.
If it was a serious issue I would let him do it in a heart beat, but in this case I said no.
I'm not going to ride home for an hour with people I don't know just because his Buddy (A Guy I don't even know) was dumb enough to shoot an Elk by himself and then asks people to leave work to come help him.

What would you do?

Not much of a hunter but how many people does it usually take to shoot an elk?

Not make a stupid thread about it...

and: You've come to the right place.

Side Note: At least it wasn't a husky.

I'd imagine the issue isn't so much the shooting as it is the hauling afterwards.

To OP, the answer is no. I'm not letting someone inconvenience me while also needing to borrow my car.

It's the packing out of the Cape and the Meat that's the problem.

I’d be careful loading up my truck with elk from a poacher that’s having it hauled god knows where in exchange for lord knows what.

But, this is the risk we run when we are assigned carpool partners at the beginning of the year.

You're not a true Utahn if you don't let him go pack elk. You're a poser and you should move back to wherever you're from

My wife and myself are the only 2 people who drove my car for the 3.5 years I owned it, just sold it actually.

I don't let anyone drive my car, certainly not more of an acquaintance for a reason like that. If I had a good friend who wanted to drive it to see if he wanted to buy something similar, or something along those lines, I'd certainly allow it but I wouldn't let anyone drive my car for reasons like that.
