I would help but would ask for some of the processed meat in return. I've had elk before. It's pretty tasty.

I don't think that is as uncommon as you think.

Its pretty common for people around here (south Louisiana) to go deer hunting alone. And sometimes, if they shoot one they have to come back in from the woods to get someone to go help them out.

If someone leaves work a little earlier than usual to go get a hunt in, its not like they can easily find someone to go with them.

If it was someone I was familiar with, I wouldn't have a problem helping them out. I'd want to know who he got coming pick me up, but its not a rare situation for someone to be in (someone needing help with a kill).

Demand elk meat as a payment. It's delicious.

If he can find you a ride home, then why can't he find himself a ride to bring him to where his buddy and the elk are at? Then your co-workers hunting friend can give him a ride home after they pack out the elk.

I'd probably offer to drive the co-worker there in exchange for some elk meat though. But definitely not loaning out my vehicle to a him.

It's obvious that you're no outdoorsman. Everyone knows that deer don't become elk until past age 4...

i dont know why youre getting down voted. im not giving the keys of my car to anyone outside of an emergency.

he can call a fricking taxi. At most id see if i could get off work early without screwing over everyone else in the car pool in exchange for some elk meat.
