Can they do something about the crime on campus and the surrounding area?

People absolutely were freaking out about Tate when he was hired because of assumed CRT stuff, and I'll admit I egged that melt on a bit. Really though, he absolutely has LSU moving in the right direction. He recognizes the importance of sports and ended the anti-Greek crusade at LSU, and now the fundraising goals are being met early. I think he has been very good so far.

They need to get rid of Middleton and return the Quad to the original cross shape. It will also highlight Hill Memorial library which is a campus hidden gem.

Regardless of your position on President Tate, you can't argue the fact that the man can fundraise

Looks like a lot of people that wanted to ditch Alexander finally had no excuse to avoid donating.

A couple of years back TAF solicited me for a donation. I wrote a return email and blasted Alexander and Alleva and said not to ask me for money again until those two were gone. Frankly I figured being a bit of a dick would get me off their email list.

OVER A YEAR LATER, I get a personal email from the VP of TAF saying "they are both gone now, how much are you pledging?"

I was amazed that someone held onto that email and then hit me up as soon as they were gone. They shamed me into it and I cut a check.

There was a $5 error on my final fee bill. I spoke to several people who kept transferring me up the chain. No one wanted to make a correction or was willing to take the time to fix it. I told the last guy I spoke with that the extra $5 would be the last donation I’d make to the school and he said “fine.”

I have kept my promise.

Not giving tax-free money to an indoctrination camp. They hate straight white Christians? Fine, I’ll hate you back

Wrong. According to his Wikipedia page:
quote:

Tate was raised Catholic and is married to Kim Cash Tate, a popular Protestant YouTuber, singer, speaker, and writer.

I mean I can’t help that he’s not white, but he should obviously a strong enough Christian for you.

The hell are you talking about? LSU has done a tremendous job protecting free speech. It's a university so it must be uber liberal right? Go back to your boomer Facebook meme page with that bs.

I vowed to never give another penny to the University of Wisconsin after they spent $50,000 removing a rock from the campus that someone referred to with a racial slur one time 100 years ago.

If they have enough money to do that, they don't need any more from me, and if they ever get me on the phone I'll tell them that exactly.

quote:

Chamberlin Rock, which had sat on Observatory Point since 1925, was named after Thomas Chamberlin, a geologist and former university president who served from 1887 to 1892.
A 1925 Wisconsin State Journal article used the n-word as part of a nickname for the giant boulder.

quote:

The chancellor's office is using private donations to pay the $50,000 price tag for the rock's removal, the university said. It's being moved to university-owned land near Lake Kegonsa, southeast of Madison.
Gary Brown, director of campus planning and landscape architecture, shepherded the search for the rock's new home. "Moving the rock to this remote site prevents further harm to our community while preserving the rock's educational and research value for current and future scholars," Brown said in a news release.

Not trying to hijack, just stating that the best way to make yourself heard on this ridiculous bullshite is to do it with your wallet.

Same. Like how he's focusing on 5 core priorities.

We(The OT) were caught up in what he published while in grad school. CRT/Socialism/etc
But weren't we all full of idealistic ideas and ambitions in college?

He's doing an outstanding job leading LSU thus far.

I thought I remembered them posting some renderings of a new building but can’t find them anymore. This is still a good plan though! Excited for this development at LSU
