… on the day before her induction to Country Music Hall of Fame… godspeed

quote:

mother of Wynonna and Ashley Judd, has died. She was 76. The daughters announced her death on Saturday in a statement provided to The Associated Press. “Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” the statement said. “We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.” The statement did not elaborate further.

While I am not the biggest fan of the Judds, I certainly feel for anyone who is suffering mental illness/bi-polar disorder/depression and their families.

R.I.P., Naomi.

The judds were REALLY good. Them and Reba put out some good "girl country" in the 80s

Speaking of Judds, Ashley Judd seems to have fallen off the face of the earth publicly over the past 20 years.

Not gonna lie, this one hurts. Loved their music. 14 #1's and every single they had on RCA hit the top-10 and Wynonna had a really good singles career in her own right.

They are at worst, the 2nd greatest female combo of all time. I'm including the Wilson sisters here and yes I know Heart is a band but that band were those two.

And they were gonna be inducted into the Country Music HoF tomorrow night. Just terrible.

RIP Naomi.

I wonder what went on this last day or so.
Suicide is still very selfish at any age and I'm sure the family is devastated.
