She probably won't be going back to anything, sadly. Strikes me as someone who never got much attention and was wooed by a criminal who will likely kill her once she's not useful.

Hopefully he just leaves her behind.

I don't find it sad. I don't have sympathy for her. She spent a quarter century being around and dealing with people like him. She knew what he was about better than most. She isn't a smitten teenager who made a mistake. Apparently, she spent months planning this, and had to do every single bit of the heavy lifting. Now, she's as much a criminal as he is. I hope the Bonnie and Clyde story is worth it for her.

I'm not saying she's not criminally culpable, but at core she's likely desperate for someone to care about her, which is sad.

She must not be very bright thinking she could retire.

Maybe, as a “hit man,” he somehow threatened to have someone kill her mom and brothers that live nearby if she didn’t help him escape, and she felt this was the only thing to keep them alive?

We don’t have all the facts yet, but the Sheriff said they have no indication that anything romantic could have happened between the two….

Well this sheriff is a dumbass if he doesn’t at least suspect this inmate was boning one of his employees.

But he won’t want to admit this lady was doing that. Might make him look real bad come re-election time.

Female COs have been caught banging inmates more often than you realize. I could name several in a rural La parish that got caught and even one that got accused but never actually dismissed. She might even still be employed there.

remember the couple in metro NOLA several years back who were found at the bottom of the bayou strapped to kettle bells?

they were killed by a felon and the female ex-corrections officer he was fricking while he was in prison

ETA: it was an episode of "The First 48"

she said she wanted to head to the beach after she retired...I expect them to pop up at the Flora-Bama any day...a US Marshall should be stationed there.

Vicky White, 56, is charged with permitting or facilitating escape in the first degree in connection with capital murder suspect Casey White’s escape from jail.

Authorities said Vicky White sold her home a month ago, and she was supposed to retire on Friday, the day she and Casey White disappeared.

Casey White, 38, was charged with capital murder in September 2020 in the brutal stabbing of 58-year-old Connie Ridgeway.

Casey White was already serving time for a 2015 crime spree that involved home invasion, carjacking, and a police chase. White confessed to the murder and was awaiting trial at the Lauderdale County Jail when he disappeared.

So he brutally stabbed another 50+ year old and she trusts him enough to risk it all?

quote:

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday said investigators have confirmed through inmates in the Lauderdale County Detention Center that there was “a special relationship” between the two.

“That relationship has been confirmed through our investigation with independent sources and means,” the department said in a statement.

Wow.

I think the condition is caused by the traditional method for cops, a large arse created through a lack of activity and donuts.

Well placed jokes aside, imagine if all perps were so accurately described, including their "gait"
