One of the best vacations we did as a family. No cell service and no tv. Rode horses 1 hr on trails twice a day. Kids just ran around the ranch the rest of the time. They let them feed the horses and had events planned at night. All the meals were provided. Hot cooked meals. Dixie Dude Ranch in Bandara, TX. There’s several near Bandara. We split it over a week and did several days in San Antonio also. Carlsbad, Seaworld, and one of those drive through safari type things. Really good time for family and young kids.

As a little kid was the Go-Fer during spring cattle roundup in SW LA, at least when they were cutting off horns, nuts, branding and giving shots. Dad helped with the roundup due we had a boat and they didn't with roundup being from the marsh, and then driven to high ground for hurricane season.

Yes, we took the kids to one in west Texas. West Texas. Just pay close attention to the reviews. Not all dude ranches are equal.
