This thread is an orgy of overweight middle aged white men that haven't been on a bike in 25+ years circle jerking each other.

It’s actually a very popular opinion. But the cyclist community shames you into thinking otherwise.

Just like anti trans. Majority of people don’t enjoy transsexual people flaunting about in our community. But they shame you into thinking you must.

I rode 14 miles without stopping this summer at 30A. I do not feel the need to recreate this experience on the public streets of Metro Atlanta.

This board has such a hate boner for cyclists and I just don't encounter them much or the behavior you guys are constantly malding over.

You would think southeast Louisiana is the Mecca of road cycling with how many threads we get bitching about them. It's got to be dudes driving down River Rd upset that they're delayed 30 seconds getting to their next McDonalds pit stop.

I also enjoy the conundrum of "don't ride them in the city, you're causing congestion" and "don't ride them in rural areas, that's where my Ford goes FAST!" Just ride them nowhere I guess

Not sure how true this is. The laws are they follow the rules of traffic. Stop at read lights and stop signs. Signal your intent.

But it goes both ways. Share the road. I know dudes who bike now because they were shite drivers.

Wat? I follow the rules of the road.

Morons in cars intentionally going as fast as they can as close as they can to me is a-hole behavior, chief.

I am only speaking from my experience as a regular cyclists for the last 4 years.

I saw more cyclists this morning on my walk than this entire board will see this year.

I just cannot understand the cyclist hatred here. There is no cycling culture in south Louisiana to justify this hatred.

This happens, but as a regular driver I see cyclists, and I’m being generous here, just dudes on two wheels, not follow traffic laws. Just running stop signs at night when I don’t have a stop sign.

The guy who is on a suspended license biking to work or wherever is not a cyclist dude.

It all comes down to them being self conscious about letting themselves go. Though they'll never admit it.

And the fact that it's more popular in places Mike Colorado so it must be associated with "liberal scum."

Do a 45 or 60 mile ride and get back to me tough guy.

Cycling is a lot tougher than you think. Especially if you want to be good.

You would not be able to hold a 12 mph pace for more than a mile or two.

I'm a cyclist, when you are on the road you have the same restrictions as a car. You stop when you're supposed to stop (that includes for stopped school buses), and ride on the correct side of the road.
